Just wondering if the numbers are likely to pick up next summer, i know it's nearly impossible to predict but i suppose there's usually some pointers, we're looking at PEK on june 24th, none of the other resorts really appeal to us but we've read, on here, TA forums and elsewhere that numbers were down by a huge amount this year following the revolution and what not, and to add to it i've read a LOT of Libyan 'refugees' have swamped the place, albeit ones with money. Got nothing against Libyans like but we don't really want to go to an AI that's full of them as most reports point towards them being even worse than the locals and the russians!
Might be an unanswerable question but just wondered if anyone would care to share their thoughts and experiences on the subject
I'll be back in Sousse on 6th November and hope to get some idea of the mood then, by talking with the locals and ex-pats, but by June it could (and probably will) have changed again.
Thanks aslemma, will be good to hear what the locals aswell as tourists think of the situation,I know what you mean with the uncertainty of the elections and in particular the prospect of the likes of Al-Nahda Al'Islam gaining any noteable power, how likely that is to happen though is a matter of opinion and reading into it it certainly doesn't look like they'd have much mainstream support due to their economic ideas. As far as Libyans goes, like I say, nothing against them as people, just don't want to arrive to find an overwhelming number abusing the buffets, sunbeds etc
