I love Extreme Dreams.I have watched every series and always try to find the location on Google earth.
Thank goodness for Sky+ though as I can fast forward it when Ben says "coming up"
I also love Globe Trekker on the Travel Channel.
Lee & Cheryl were hilarious, backwards and forwards in their van, looking for their perfect snail farm... I'd love to know what happened to them. Maybe Channel 4 might know if you tried emailing them.LaZenia wrote:does anyone know whatever happened to Lee & Cheryl from the channel 4 programme A Place In Spain
its nearly 4 years now since the show ended and it would be great to know what happened after it ended
such a funny pair they were
I miss the old programmes like Wish You Were Here and BBC's Holiday. The best you get now is a 2 minute thing on GMTV or This Morning, and I'm not at home to see that anyway. An evening holiday programme would be great, and not one that's about buying/selling property abroad, just good old-fashioned "where will you be this summer?" kind of thing.
Did anyone watch Costa Chaos last year ? An ex rock guitarist and his girlfriend renovating a place just outside Barcelona. Wasn't your conventional travel programme as they were a bit wacky, but I found myself strangely drawn to it.
I like those holiday swap programmes. Just because of the attitude of the families who are determned not to enjoy each others holidays. It is really funny when the kids of the family actually enjoy the other's holiday and then you can see the disappointment in their parent's faces and the feelings they lay on the kids of disloyalty. Priceless! I would love to sit in on the planning meetings when they decide which couples to pair up. Oh lets put the family of Butlins couch potatoes in with the posh family who do the 'tour'!
I watched costa chaos and I think the couple fell out in the end, didnt he go home to be in a band and left all the work to her, but like you say they were very watchable.
I also enjoyed watching the couple looking for a snail farm, they were falling out one minute and then all lovey dovey the next,
The best one of this type of programme was the gay couple and two friends who were building a house in Crete,I cant remember their names, but the man with the money was a right drama queen.
