On 1 august 2012 I booked a five star hotel in Antigua for this April. Today I received an email from travel republic saying they had made a mistake and even though they sent us a booking confirmation for our chosen hotel in August, they had actually booked a different 4 star hotel. They have said we can either keep the 4 star hotel reservation and receive a small discount or have a refund.
To book the hotel I originally booked will cost over £3000 more now. So this has completely ruined our holiday. I spoke to them today and they said this had happened to a number of people today who had all tried to book the 5 star hotel and have now been told travel republic have actually booked them an inferior hotel.
Travel republic do not seem to appreciate or care how this has ruined a holiday we have been looking forward to for months! This is entirely travel republic's fault. Surely it is for them to fix this!!?
