there you go.....like I said before..chuck any dirty washing in the shower and let the shampoo/showergel do the work...do a little dance on it all whilst in there VOILA!Soap is soap! Sodium Laryl Sulphate. Shampoo, shower gel or just plain imperial leather will do the same job. Trust me, I'm a chemist!
always do this when showering , underwear or swimwear gets washed through , then rinsed in the sink , then pegged out on balcony , dont know what hubby does with his tho
Must admit I tend to wash my bikinis in shower gel, sometimes forget to use the travel wash..
we tread the swimming cozzies in the shower too, xphx
I use ariel liquid gel at home, planning on taking that this year, as last year I found the travel wash to be of poor quality and I already have the gel at home - I'll just decant it into a plastic container and pack it in my hold luggage.
I buy a small box of soap powder/liquid (didn't know about this wash) and take it with me for other things and just wash in the sink.
Helen
I found the travel washes to be poor quality also, i take those liquid tabs with me, (daz or persil)
i quite like superdrugs travel wash it has nice smell and seems to soften clothes as well but i only use it for light washing (underwear and swim cozzie and t-shirts) xphx
£1 shop has daz .............. would this be ok to go in hand luggage ?

Although I always take a tube of travel wash I invariably wash things out in soap and it does the job quite well. My main problem is where to dry them. Some hotels have drying rails on the balcony so I always take some large pegs but in others it's more difficult.
Get yourself a travel washing line - loads on ebay! They often have suction pads that are supposed to fix onto tiles but I find they don't stay put. I tend to put it out on the balcony and secure it round the railings. Mine is a 'pegless' one where you push the clothes through the elastic cords but I usually take some pegs in any case.
Thanks Pippa, I'll look out for one.
Agreed with the washing line with pegs.we always take ours..cossies and bikinis dry in seconds..
You can usually pick up travel lines in pound shops or Matalan. However they are just a few metres of line and a dozen pegs!
Mine is 2 strong elasticated cords twisted together with suction pads/hooks on each end. I do take some pegs with me but they are not necessary as you can push the washing through the gaps in the line - works very well with socks etc.
I bought 2 tubes of trave wash the other day, we have 3 tubes between 3 of us, to be honest if it runs out Il buy some spanish washing liquid in a supermarket..
very lucky this year as we have a washing machine in apartments so gonna bring some liquid tabs only going to wash our smalls and beach towels dont want to stuck to the machine like i am at home
I don't take travel wash, I prefer not to wash anything but if I do need to I just use shampoo then rinse them in a little conditioner to make the soft. We have a washing machine this year too so I may stick some things through before we come home, not too much though, putting the washing machine on whilst on holiday sounds like too much work to me
