A few people have mentioned to me that they have been charged extra for the air con even though it does state included.

luci these apts are brand new and as far as I know they are being booked direct only, with an agent based in England,that is how we have booked them for Sept but maybe Neets can help with more info. powdie

At the moment the lady that owns them is giving out flyers to all the people that are eating in her restaurant and they have a phone number for her friend in the UK.
We will no doubt be adding them to our website for 2006.

The restaurent is also called The Travellers Rest and it does first class food, have eaten here many many times and always had good service.
I have seen the apartments and they are quite nice with a large pool area and sunbathing space.
It sounds to me as though they have just got to be marketed right, because they are good apartments with a first class restaurent attached and I would have thought they would have no trouble in filling the rooms with all the DIY people that use her restaurent.

Thanks for the replies everyone, Gene is quite right, the apartments look great and we have booked for September. Bit dissappointed to see the Air Con charges on top tho but when I return I'll do a review.

Has any one stayed at these apartments, we had a look at them befor we came home this year they are great but, just read some reviews which said they added extra costs to the holiday when they got there,my daughter is about to book with her children so any info would be appreciated.
I haven't stayed there, but have booked for next year. Owner did state that air conditioning would be extra - £35 for 2 weeks - but she did warn us and say that this may increase slightly, which is fair enough. However, she said once we had paid deposit, all other costs remain the same. Apartments are very nice in side, a little on the small side, but then you only sleep in there don't you. Excellent pool and pool area. Had a great meal in the restaurant too and according to some friends, the english breakfas is the best in the area.

Just for record, visited Travellers Rest Aparts in May, was impressed with them and the price! English couple showed us round were looking after them for Chris. They seemed to be doing all the work from cleaning to gettin them ready, to reception, bar etc. Just been back to İçmeler to find they are not working there now, believe now work done Chris has no need for them as they were not in agreement with Chris changing prices when customers had already paid deposit. was going to book for next year but changed mind in case prices change after being agreed this year.

Rang the guy in uk about these, he said the prices will be the same for next year. Still £290 for two weeks inc transfers, and £35 for 2 weeks air con. cheap!!
