This is on behalf of my 23 year old grandaughter who is travelling for a month with a girlfriend.
She would appreciate help from young people who have done this ,safety, mobile fone use, getting to Phuket from Bankok and back etc, all the pitfalls and things to be aware of please.

I traveled from Phuket to Bangkok by boat to the islands of koh Samui,koh phangan and koh tao and the rest by bus.We experienced no trouble at all,just be sensible with your belongings ...i Heard when people were sleeping they had stuff stolen,i slept with my small bag which contained Money and passport under my head.
