Hi Liana,

Yes, you can exchange your money at Reception. We always take sterling over with us ad echange it to EGP when over there as the exchange rate is far better that over here in the UK (normally about 10% more)

I will make sure I keep our liust of trips/prices and forward it into you on our return.

We stayed in Makadi Bay last July and took a full day trip to Cairo to see the pyramids etc. which involved leaving the hotel at about 1am and returning about 11pm at night very tiring but well worth it!! We also went on a trip to a paradise island, I can't rememeber the name of the island but it was a fab day out with a lovely boat ride from Hurghada, snorkeling, lunch and sun bathing and we even got to see dolphins on our boat ride back. There was also a trip out to the desert to star gaze but we didn't do this one because we needed some time to relax after our Nile cruise.

hope all you people off to Makadi Bay have a fab time.....it is a lovely resort!

Hope the aboves helps Liana. Just to mention, we went on the water park trip. Consists of 7 large slides, good day out. There is another park (Titanic) but would advise against it as from the raod side it does look a bit worse for the wear. Also, alcoholic drinks are included within the waterpark (beer, wine etc) which is self service. The food is buffet, but never tried it as it looked a but dodgy!

The only other trip we did with TC was the sand buggies. Took nearly 2 hours there and back to get to the destination (just outside El Gouna) Approx 2 hours in the buggie. Must admit did expect it to be a bit more exhilerating, although we (3) did enjoy the trip.

I would highly recommend this trip, lovely day out, fab snorkelling, lovely lunch and even got to see dolphins from the boat on the way back at sunset!

Yes, we went on the Giftun Island trip last year, but booked with the boys on the beach as they were cheaper last year than TC. Lovely boat, plenty of shade, great food, and limited to 30 people per boat, so plenty of room.
