Hi we were here in May

TGO is Sharks Bay next to the airport not far from the Hilton Sharks Bay

that said it's about 4-5LE to get a taxi

The snorkelling is good
the dive shop is great (say hello to Christina for me)

the best bar is the Sand Beach Bar

yes it's a sea side hotel quite a long slope down to the carved out terraces with sand on them which is the "beach"

the Main restaurant has a good choice of food every night. Although at Breakfast the omelette station really is the best place to go though they do have hot and cold food but those omelette's and Pancakes !!!!!!

there are two speciality restaurants down by the beach (although they are in one building) and another up by the main building (in the day it's also the snack bar)

Would recommend the Italian restaurant although order every course on the menu or you will be hungry

Don't eat at the snack bar it's in full sun so cold food gets really hot and hot food gets roasted also they don't appear to service this as much as the main restaurant.

there are shops a little walk down the road which are cheaper than the in hotel shops - Especially the White Knight Beach supermarket where they sell factor 90 sun screen for kids

the Pharmacy is a little further on too good place if you do get Egyptian Tum

there isn't a ATM in the TGO but there is one in the Savoy next door but one and you are encouraged to use that we did - and found it gave a really good exchange rate too
