Hi, we are looking to take a short winter break/rest in tunisia in november this year.
we are a couple and looking for a good spa type hotel with indoor pool, we are not big on entertainment programs and such like, we just want a relaxing break in a good quality hotel. don't mind what area, can anyone suggest a good place please.
we are not new to tunisia as have spent many hols on kerkennah island but are new ish to the mainland.
thanks in advance.
Not sure Tunisia is overrun with "spa type hotels" as we might recognise them here. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. However generally all the 5 star places should have good spa facilities. I stayed two years ago at the Ramada liberty, Skanes and they had just installed a state of the art spa suite. I would recommend that for the spa. Didn't rate the food though!
was it the ramadam hotel skanes, or the ramadam resort hotel? are they not two different?
also can i ask you did you get aircraft noise staying there?
did you pay for transfers or just get a cab? i have been looking at transfer charges from the holiday companies and they look quite high to me.
i hate waiting for those hoilday coaches as we usually travel independently. not use to doing the package bit.
why was the food bad? did you stay allinclusive?
was there much to do in the hotel and around the local area? we are only looking at going for a week to relax but do like to have a wander around. have already done most of the tourist type things in kerkennah already but wouldn't like to be just trapped inside the hotel.
a girl has to shop,lol.
Hi, Firestarter. We stayed at the Riu Imperial Marhaba 5* in Port el Kantaoui in November last year. We did go with a tour operator so cannot help re. transport to the hotel, but if you are interested I think this hotel ticks all your boxes. There is an indoor pool and spa. I have written a review so if you click on the hotel reviews at the top of the page, then click on Tunisia, you will find my review of the hotel there. Would be pleased to answer any questions you may have.
Thanks i had a look, will now have to check out the prices.
