May I suggest you read the numerous reports already on this forum, which will give you a very good idea. Many of us love it and are regular visitors, whilst others find it is not for them. If you have specific questions I expect someone will be able to help you.

Tunisia is for many visitors a love it or hate it destination. I have been 3 times now and I'm still undecided. I must say I really like Port -el-kantoui, I found Sousse a dump and Hammamet qute nice. The hotels are in general very nice, not a great deal to do on an evening and I found walking around at night quite daunting and guys selling hasish very intimidating. Pick a good quality hotel, some have night clubs and organised entertainment witht he usual belly dancers and snake charmers but it can be good fun.
The souk is a must if not a bit daunting but a firm no usually does the trick but make sure you haggle it is part of the experience and the locals expect it of us.
