Hi Karen - no problem. Not not seen that site, thanks for that! Nicky :)

it does look very nice from that site and you can email them direct to get a price, at least you can then compare that to a package, ive had a good look at it, there is information on activities, trips etc

wow have you checked out the virtual tours ,although in turkish it gives you an idea of the area etc

Wow, thanks Karen, you really are a great help!

do you think you will get your boyfriend to try the kite surfing that looks great fun but way too much energy for me , hubby would love it though, we used to watch them from the beach last year doing it, they are a fair way out so no danger of getting hit whilst paddling :rofl

Hi Karen, yeah, quite possibly, he did some in Egypt while I watched from the bar!!!

my hubby used to walk over to the rocks and dive in, they vary in height and some of the lads used to dive in very high, which worried me lol. my friends all went on a canoe trip up the river which they really enjoyed, there are little restaurants along the river which are fab , cinar is 1 of the best. the next time we go we might hire a car and drive around the coast as the next bay is supposed to be lovely, we just get lazy and cant be bothered to move, if you get friendly with the locals, the chaps working in the restaurants they will save you the best sun beds too, you have to pay the beach chap about 2 lira a bed and umbrella not a lot :tup
Reply
that's worth knowing as no matter where you go there is always a rush to the sunbeds at 6o/c in the morning! :)

just ask them when you leave to save you a bed the next day, if you buy the odd drink from their bar they are happy to do that, we always sit infront of the magician cos we know hasan but there are other bars that do the same, this is a TC quote for a package

How spooky, I was just looking at the same site - instead of working! All I have to do now is persuade my boyfriend that this is a cheap holiday!!! This looks like a pretty good deal to me. When we go I will have to visit the Magician and tell Hasan you sent us! Have you ever booked direct with a hotel before? Thank you Karen :)
Reply
yes ive booked direct with hotels before and through hotel sites, i tend to do more diy holidays now, ive just booked direct for a hotel in istanbul for may.

if you book through TC go through http://www.topcashback.co.uk/retailerdetailThomas_Cook.htm you will get 2% cashback for nothing

the flights and trans are around £543 so depends what quotes the hotel comes back with. you can also get some cashback on the flights if you go for a diy holiday

Never heard of that site - will have a look!
Reply
this 1 is good too

https://www.quidco.com/

ive used both these sites and never had any problems getting my cashback, i use them for holidays, flights, shopping like debenhams, boden, insurances etc ,all for nothing lol

Ive earnt £600 from quidco in a year and a half . :)

Brilliant. Being really think but how does it work, you shop/pay for a holiday and they give you cashback??? How do you get the cash back?
Reply
Yep all my internet shopping goes through them along with swopping gas/electricity/mobile phone contracts and best of all booking holidays. It all gets paid into a seperate account which pays for a weekend break for hubby and I . This year we are using it in june for flights and hotel in Ljubljana slovenia .

Now I really must apologise for going totally :offtop but seriously stick around on HT and you will find loads of tips and suggestions and you may just enjoy helping others along the way .
