I've got two boxes sitting in my kitchen, I'll need to go home and check them!

However, here's a money making tip from me, stick them in a box, feed them turkish delight and before you know it you'll have your own silk sheets, rofl

Oops sorry  couldn't help meself

Hi all I really don't know the names of these little buggers but they will turn into moths later.

Some tips from an Antalya local - when buying turkish delight first make sure to look at the expiry date on the package. Look for one that has been newly packaged. Or buy it fresh from the local markets or bazaars on markert days. The ones with the nuts could be the culprits.

Don't despair you can find really good lokum. My kids love Turkish delight especially the kind called "Kus Lokum" it is kind of like jelly bellies. Smaller cut of pieces of colorful lokum.

i used to love the stuff, but its going to be very hard to eat it now, especially when i see them wriggling around every day.

In July we went, as part of a trip, to the Turkish Delight factory in Fethyie, It was really nice, you saw them making the Turkish Delight got a brief explanation of what was happening, and then you could try all the different kinds/flavours free of charge.

You could then select boxes and make them up yourselves in any combination you liked. It was really fresh, so hopefully no little critters to scare us.

Sound like moth larvae, not sure how the critters have managed to stay alive mind you, unless they have been kept in a warm place.

I bought about 3kg of it back and have given lots of it out as presents (it was fresh stuff from Hisornoi market) so hope it does not have any 'extras'!

Still got two boxes at home and have eaten 2 boxes myself and think they are ok. They did taste nice! :D

Oooo poor you, you must of felt soooo sick. :(

Just a useless bit of trivia, Turkish Delight actually comes from a small city called Afyon (about half way between Fethiye and Ankara).

My wife is from Afyon and is obviously my Turkish Delight :love - had to say that in case she reads this.
