Thanks for looking at my question.
We went to Turkey last year & stated in Ovacik/Hisonaru & although we had a good holiday this area was too commercialised for our liking, mind you our kids liked it!!
We're looking for something smaller, less busy, no hamburgers & fewer tacky shops!!
My brother/sister-in-law suggest Turunc which looks fab but I can't find accommodation to suit us - villa to sleep 6, private pool, garden, walk to beach/restaurantss etc.
If anyone knows of any villas PLEASE let me know, failing that can anybody suggest any other resorts that might fit the bill?
Thanks alot - looking forward to your advice.

We went to Turunc a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. You could also have a look at some of the quieter resorts on the Bodrum peninsular - Yalikavak, Torba, Ortakent and Gumusluk are all nice, quiet and unspoilt.
Kedi
Have a look at Dalyan
Hi Lucy,Turunc sounds ideal for you.We visited it on a lazyday boat trip, not enough there for me,but a really nice place,a few nice restaurants and bars,I bought a lovely leather coat there last year. The beach is a bit stoney but I loved to sit in the clear water to keep cool. You can also take a taxi boat to Icmeler if you fancy,a pretty place but becomming more busy now,but has some excellent restaurants and entertainment.
Thanks for all your replies - plenty of food for thought. Akyaka does look lovely - again though I'm having difficulty finding a villa with a private pool near the beach.
Have any of you been to Kalkan? just wondering what that's like - it seems to have plenty of villa accommodation but does that mean it's very commercialised too?
Thanks again for your advice.
Have a look at http://www.holiday-in-turunc.com our agents website. I'm not sure whether she has villa's with private pools, but its worth a look because there is quite a bit of info about Turunc there.
Everywhere has its pluses and minuses. We also like Akayaka, the beach is the great there, but the village is a little more spread out than Turunc. There's nothing like walking down the main street through Turunc in the evening (which is pedestrianised at night), you only have to be there a couple of days and everyone knows you and greets you, but without the hassle of a big resort.

Kas is another resort in the same area but again I think there is only a small beach in the resort.
