Hi,

We`ve just bought a Kodak pack from Asda one disposable and one Ultra single sport camera for £4.95 (reduced from £15.96 on box) dates on box 2007. It says proven waterproof depth 15m / 50ft. Its got 27 photos and is shock-resistant, high performance and had EKTANA lens and fast shutter if thats any good.

Hope this helps.

I had bought those Asda camera#s last year. What a bargain. Only 3 days till I can use them!!

Also if you get them processed in sharm its a lot cheaper than the uk. Costs roughly for a 27 exposure £3 and pictures plus cd with the images on £5.

The place we used is next to bus stop on the same road as the camel bar. Kodak Shop.

Hello,

Can you snorkel from any part of the shore in Sharm or do they make you stay within your hotels area?

We want to stay at the Hilton Fayrouz as I have not read a single bad review of this hotel, but I believe the snorkelling is better around the Hyatt Regency - would we be able to take a taci there and snorkel there?

Thanks

yes i snorkeld from where i wanted to, just walk along the beach and jump in ,they might not let you walk though there hotel but they cant stop you going in the sea its not there red sea :rofl

hey there.
in sharm you can snorkel all over except in sharm el-maya area by the old market cos it is like a bay,but there is nice beaches for partys such as terrazina beach.by hilton fayrouz-as in the rest of naama bay area- it is ok to snorkell but it isn`t the great thing to do ,it would be better to go to tiran island or ras mohamed sea trips,it is around 35 GBP. for well organised trip
best of luck

Hi there, can anyone advise me on an underwater camera for use whilst snorkelling etc... I've used a couple of different makes of dispossibles but have always been left dissapointed! Also i don't want to have to spend hundreds of pounds on one! Thanks.

ive bought one off amazon. a vivitar amphibian. its one you reload with 35mm film. my freind has one and the pics were excellent. i would end up spending loads more on underwater disposables so at 22 quid this one will be more economical in the long run.

We bought one over there in a shop on the beach, it is reusable and took fab pictures, it can also be used for scuba. We paid around £12 and that included the film. Bargain.

Tesco £4.99 including film

Hope that helps :D

we bought underwater disposables. we paid £3.50 in matalan which didn`t work but that could of been the kids turning the wheel the wrong way and we got one from a shop called HOME BARGAINS it was £2.99 and you got a waterproof bag, goggles and the camera and the pictures were brilliant.

Can I ask,......

What are peoples opinions on camera aquapacks

In 2 minds whether to buy some u/water disposables or use my camera in a a/pack

Any advice much appreciated

Aquapacks do a good job, depending on the type.

We have one for our camcorder which is fab. But, it does have a glass front and a plastic ring that is screwed onto the front of the lens. This helps keep it steady inside.

If the pack doesn't have a glass front, then it's certainly hit or miss whether you get a decent shot or not.

:D Hi Guys. First time using this site! Hubby and I are going to Sharm (2nd time) in march next year and cannot wait. Hubby is a diver and unfortunately I cannot dive (dont ask). Loved Sharm when we went last year and snorkelling was absolutely amazing.

We are staying at the Halomy hotel - not looking for 5 star cos we want to be close to Naama and didn't want to waste money on a luxury hotel when we could use it to travel, etc. Has anyone stayed at Halomy before...are there any things we should know about?

Can anyone recommend a decent digital underwater camera? We dont want to break the bank so should be something affordable that is able to go +30m underwater.

Also, can anyone tell me what the average temp in March is (we are going last week in March)!! Cannot wait!! Look forward to hearing from you guys. From the forums it appears this is the best site to ask questions!!
