we have been twice during Ramadan and had no problems at all apart from a little guilt on my part about eating in front of staff that are fasting.

After handling the Egyptian money make sure you use either antibacterial wipes or gel.I believe this is where a lot of folk pick up the bugs that cause upset stomachs.

If you want to get duty free stuff on the way back it is worth taking dollars as they rip you off at the airport. All prices are in dollars and they use a conversion rate of 1.7 dollars to the sterling pound. says it all :(

Ramadan next year will be earlier than this year, and should finish before the start of October, so you needn't worry about your holiday coinciding with this. :)
