I hope I can get some advise about a trip we (Wife and 16 year old daughter) are planning for the end of August early September 2008 to the West coast of the USA.
The rough plan is as follows.
Fly in to Los Angeles and stay on the Beach somewhere between Santa Monica and Newport beach for about 5 to 7 days. During that time visiting MGM Studios, Sea world in San Diego etc etc.
Then drive to Yosemite and stay for 3 nights inside or outside the Park.
Afterwards drive to San Francisco and stay for 5 to 7 days taking if possible a day trip to the Nappa Valley. We would then fly out of San francisco.
How does this sound and am I missing out something which is a must see. (We do not want to go to Las Vegas)
Any advise, help or tips would be gratefully received.
Glad to see you have Yosemite on your list. That's a must see, in my opinion and you are allowing 3 days for it which is a good amount of time.
We also intend to stay in Fishermans warf in San francisco, but as there is no centre to LA we will stay on the beach. What do people think of Santa Monica, Long beach, Huntingdon beach or Newport beach as places to stay?
