Orleans or Gold Coast, but they are hotels and not motels. Haven't stayed in either, only visited, but they get decent reviews.
Thanks will check them out.
Have just looked on the Virgin website and flight and hotel staying at Planet Hollywood £ 775.00 each
How long are you staying there for?
Staying for 7 nights Thursday to Thursday
It's not a bad price if the flights particularly suit you. However, we normally pay about that for 10 nights flying from Glasgow in September (flights around same price for June/September). Have you tried Expedia? Don't forget quidco.com also for cashback of 3.5% on expedia packages (and cashback on many other shopping websites!).
However I'm in a right quandary about the other 10 nights. We usually stay at the IP at the weekends as rates elsewhere go sky high, but we could get Paris for a bit more than the IP would cost. I actually like the IP and just don't know what to do.
Monday and Tuesday 4 & 5 May are really high for some hotels such as Paris, MGM and NYNY, but I could get Bally's for $69.
Would appreciate any comments to help me make up my mind.

For me it's a no brainer if Paris is hardly any more money, I'd much rather stay at Paris.
A friend of mine came back from Vegas recently and said how expensive it is, for everything. The dollar rate is really hitting home!
Cheers,
TC
I have also booked the IP through a casino host and will be getting one night comped! Saving money here means I can splash out on a high end place if a decent offer comes up. I am really hoping for the Wynn for the last 2 nights.

This would suit me just nicely. Paris is lovely. And think about how easily you could move to Bally's if you wanted to.
What do you fancy for your other nights now?
Only good deals I can see so far for our other nights (first nights are at Orleans so want a hotel on the strip) are Monte Carlo and Excalibur. Prices pretty ok, but I think there will be better deals....like this Paris one you mention Luci hopefully
Forgot to say Luci - you seen the Mirage deals on Fatwallet? Would have done my first 6 nights, but I went and booked a package for those nights, didn't I! Damn!
I got those deals through LCI, London Clubs International, which has several UK casinos associated with Harrah's properties in Vegas and you can get discounted rates going through LCI's players club link HERE
It says you can get up to 20% off prevaling rates, but my rates are more than 50% off for Paris. The only hotels showing deals at the moment are Paris and Bally's. Unfortunately they don't apply to your dates..... yet. I would keep checking though and let me know if you are successful.
On the LCI screen the Make a Reservation link only allows for 2008 dates, but if you click on the individual hotel it takes you to the hotel page and you can choose 2009 dates.
Cancellation policy is the usual 72 hours before arrival.
If you are checking several hotels you will have to start from the original link for each one as it doesn't work if you use the drop down box.
There is some concern that they may ask for the LCI card at check in, but it's unlikely. However, just in case, I am intending getting a card when we are in Glasgow before our flight on the 27th.
If you find any good deals, please remember to post them as I still have the last 2 night to fill and am hoping for the Wynn, Venetian or Bellagio, but it would have to be an exceptional offer.

That's great, thank you so much!!! Yes, looking at the availablity calendars they go up to August. I think that's to be expected though. Maybe in a month or two I might get a rate on those. Paris would be lovely, Bally's would also be fine too!! Brilliant. Just when I think I know all the money saving tricks I hear a new one!!! Lol!
I'm already a member of Alea at Glasgow, and I didn't know about this. We will be needing 3 rooms, so just to be sure we'd have to get another member (hubby's a member too), wo we'd need to get one other at least signed up to be safe. They're not like Gala Casinos where you sign up then return 24 hours later. You get your card and can enter right away. There's also a Frankie & Benny's beside it, Ask, a Chinese Buffet, and other options, Cinema etc too. Springfield Quay is quite a good retail park. Not sure if you plan to do an overnight or not, but there's also a hotel it's an Etap part of the http://www.Accorhotels.com chain who do rooms for about £20. They're in the same chain as Ibis, Novotel etc, but they're the most basic in the chain. It's a brand new hotel though. There's also a Travelodge in the area, but outside the retail park. You could have a nice evening there if you were going to Glasgow the night before your flight. You may already know all this, I'm not sure how familiar you are with Glasgow.
I'm really looking forward to staying at Paris, but from the reviews I've read lately there's not much chance of a free upgrade as they are charging for everything.

Just thought I'd post the rates I got from my Nationwide cards over the last month. They do make it more expensive, but Vegas is still excellent value for money. We loved every minute of our trip and the only downside for my SO was that it wasn't long enough! It will take a while to get the TR together, so don't hold your breath. (I have to go to Benidorm again before Christmas.)

Just booked to go on the 17th of this month - £287 direct from Manchester!!! Now trying to decide on hotels - there are some great deals coming out at the moment - so hard to choose. We are on a limited budget so weighing up a nicer room versus extra spending money! 10 more sleeps
Have you looked up the deal that Luci is talking about?? 17th Onwards is $60 midweek $75 weekends at Paris. That really is fantastic!! Bally's is $49/$69. I'm excited for you, some great deals out there! Also the Mirage has good deals on running through to next year ($57 rates early Sept), so maybe they will have something good for December. Happy hunting, and do let us know what good deals you find!
Hi Luci
So are you going to the Normandy night before your flight, or are you actually doing a quick trip down beforehand to get the card? I'm thinking maybe for your trip since Normandy is handy for the Airport. We recently had a work teambuilding day there, and they put on some nice food for us in the evening! Your meal should be nice.
Pebbles - looking forward to hearing all about it!!!!
We're off to Benidorm again on the 27th and staying at the Normandy the night before. We've stayed there before, most recently in November, so know what to expect.
