Luci,

Sky have now gone onto Greece Uncovered, which really does make me feel old as I was going to those resorts in 1998 but obviously not getting upto to the antics of many on the programme. The Uncovered programmes tend to do a cycle, I think it might be back to Tenerife Uncovered after Greece before Vegas comes on again. I'm always keeping an eye out on Sky+ for things to record during the early hours so if I see Vegas coming back on I'll mention it on here.

Lesley,
I think its always good to visit new places but obviously some are going to be let downs (surprised by San Francisco but all down to personal opinion). New Orleans, Miami and Memphis were not as good as I thought they would be, but to counter that I really enjoyed the likes of San Antonio, Savannah and even Atlanta which I lot of people on TA thought was the last city a tourist should be visiting in the US!!! I say go for Laughlin, as you say its free and food is included. :tup

I bet all you Vegas September holidayers are getting very excited now? I am for the Algarve, and of course for November as well.......roll on!!!

Thanks Ju. Hubby scours Sky and usually picks up on anything Vegas, but he obviously missed that one. I'd appreciate it if you could post if you see it again.

I know Ju, I guess it is all down to choices and opinion, and also perhaps the mood you are in the day you go! I think with San Fran I just wanted to be in Vegas...it was a day out of Vegas that I wasn't really bothered about. It wasn't awful, but it's not somewhere I'm currently keen to go back to. Of course sometimes you don't like something much at the time then later you start to reflect on the good points.

As for Laughlin, it won't be free really or free food - we'd drive down when we've got the car. That could be good because we can leave when we want, although the road down to Laughlin I don't think passes anywhere interesting on the way. Would have been good if we could have done Primm in the same trip but I think you have to head back towards Vegas then onto a different southerly road to get down to Primm. I guess it's hilly down there and there's no connections! I do have Harrah's Laughlin buffet coupons though...

Well I did the coupon cutting last night from the 3 ACG's we've got. Cut out loads. Don't think we'll use them all, but hopefully we'll get our £11 worth! Also been printing some shopping coupons from coupon cabin....so we're all set to get some bargains!

Do you have a link to the shopping coupons on Coupon Cabin? I've had a look at the site and can't make head nor tail of it.

Thanks Lesley......don't want to be over-confident but I think I am safe for now! I am very excited, our Vegas routine is pretty much laid out -
Arrive at McCarran, out into the hot hot sun (always remark how hot it is) :tongue
Queue for cab
Arrive at hotel, check in and up to room, wait for luggage to arrive
Wash and change
Down to the casino, catch the waitress ASAP and get a couple of ice cold Coronas
Chink bottles and salute Vegas with a huge smile on our faces*

and then lose $50 on a rubbish slot machine :rofl

Then we know we have truly arrived :cheers

Here it is Luci http://www.couponcabin.com/printable-coupons/index.htm

Some are expiring soon, really need to check back as close to your trip as possible, as some coupons only run for a weekend or week at a time.

I have already printed some for Reebok/Rockport, Payless, Borders, Yankee Candle. Plus I have done a free pass for Voodoo Lounge through the Rio website for 2 different nights (will go once).

Thanks Lesley. The only one I would probably use is Guess so will have to remember to print it nearer the time.

Looks as though the Virgin sale works out for our November trip to Vegas. Flying out on the Saturday 14th November, coming back 20th it is currently priced at £418 return pp which is pretty good for direct flights.

I think it is book by 22nd September. If we were to fly out the Thursday 12th, it would only be £383 per person which is excellent but we have no flexibility on dates this trip.

I just got an offer from the Orleans mailed to me. They are doing some nights in September for $1 a night!!
If you were going next week you could have 4 nights at Orleans for $52 in total, that's fantastic. Unfortunately only the first part of my second week is available, the second half is sold out, otherwise I probably would have swapped

Tee Cee....don't be saying that we're staying at the Orleans next week (yes next week :haha :hols ). Well we pre-paid with expedia anyway at a good price, so not a problem!

Well, next week I will be there. We will be at the pool :sun2 , but will shortly be going to get ready and get the hire car and will spend the rest of the day shopping! I've been dreaming about Vegas.....so I'm obviously excited. Last night the dream was that we had been there about 4 days and not managed to do very much, and I was disappointed with the lack of shopping I had managed to do! Not good!

Well we have booked Phantom (hubby and I only). 9th September. Then we are going to book Mystere tonight hopefully for the 13th or 14th. We have Voodoo passes for 14th which will clash...but could always get those for another night instead. We already have them for the 10th I think too, or is it the 7th. Can't remember now. Also printed some more coupons today, and I already have the other coupons all cut out from the ACG's (3 copies between 6 of us). Price of the car has gone down from £166 when we booked to £120. Annoying. Was looking up florida car hire and was stupid enough to nosey at the vegas prices! Yes, we booked for Florida for November 11 nights, then 2 in NY on the way home. I will save my excitement for after Vegas though!! Booked flights and I've been having success on priceline and hotwire for hotels.

Wind up merchants!!! I take it you haven't heard of the freak snowstorms that are due to hit Nevada over the next few weeks??? :rofl
To be honest I am totally looking forward to my Algarve holiday next week but at the same time there is a slight hint of sadness that we won't be jetting off to the USA this coming weekend for the Washington State/Oregon/Vegas holiday we had planned. In saying that, November in Vegas is still very much on and I am sure in two weeks time (when we will be back from the Algarve :cry ) all thoughts will turn to Vegas and the excitement will start to build again for that.

On the subject of deals, there is still nothing to touch the Excalibur for price, even on the more current Excalibur offers as well. I will keep checking on a daily basis just in case though.

No doubt I will post further leading up to the weekend but at this point I would like to wish you all a great time in Vegas. Make sure you leave the $30million jackpot for me for November though!!!!

3 more sleeps and not very organised!

What a week it has been........tuesday someone pulled out of a junction into me at quite a force, so i've had all that to deal with, along with a bit of whiplash and the worry if it would be worse and that it might cause problems for my trip. Happy to say I feel a bit better this morning (so far). :) Just been a lot of hassle, and the insurnace company made all sorts of promises that they just didn't fulfil, and I had to arrange pickup of my car etc myself. Bit annoying. Anyway...hopefully my wee car will be ok to fix.

Anyway. Still had time last night to work on my planner. We've booked Mystere for the 14th too £38 each on the 2nd ticket for $25 deal. Also going to Phantom on the 9th. I was a little worried that my next shot behind the wheel of a car was going to be in Vegas...but they gave me a car just now so I'm back driving (thankfully - didn't want to end up nervous about it!).

So, 3 more days and I'll be going to Vegas. Can't actually believe it! Got a new camera - ordered it online at the weekend. Other one was being funny about the batteries (saying they were flat when they weren't), so I decided to get a new one. Really pleased with it, even came with a US charger + uk adaptor. Surprised to see a US - UK adaptor never actually seen one! Saying that, not really much you can buy in the US I doubt due to the voltage difference.

TeeCee, you will be going shortly after me, so you will be excited. You too Luci I think you arrive around when we leave. What did you mean about 24/7 by the way? I know you can view it online, but are you actually ordering printed copies to be posted to you? Obviously I'm too late for that, hope they're in the taxi when we arrive. I'm quite excited for the newbies we're taking with us, I hope they have a good time, and I also hope they don't mind the amount of planning I have done :rofl
