I've just had a look at the MyTravel website.

I can't find this deal at all.
The cheapest that's coming up for that date is the Beira Mar, Baga and that is showing as £293.40 per adult.
If you follow through the quote it works out at £586.80 for 2 adults - which is still pretty cheap.
We're in the same postion as you, we're booked for 3 weeks departing 17/11 and again for 3 weeks 16/2/2008.

Even we think that 3 times might be too much of a good thing.
It's tempting though, to get the most out of our visas - after queuing for almost 5 hours on Saturday morning to get them!

The hotel & flight deal I found earlier is no longer there, but that incredibly cheap flight is.
I must admit that I'm really tempted, but to go this weekend, come back for 11 days then go again seems a bit too greedy.

That was my feelings exactlly, Apart from flying a couple of days after the start of the first Gulf War i've never been able to snap up one of those offers, funny how you never come across them, when you are planning your trips Alan

Talking about cheap deals, I went to Goa earlier this year (Jan), and booked in December, flight only with directholidays. Very good flight with mytravel for approx £350 per person. I booked it about 10 weeks in advance.

I am doing a similar thing in Jan 2008. Although, i have more requirements to be met.
I want to book the flight on the 7th Jan, and want to fly out around the 24th Jan, give or take a couple of days.

We should be going with my parents, but have decided to go on our own, so seat numbers shouldnt be a problem ( we only want 3 seats)

My question is, if we book on the 7th Jan, will there be cheap flights left.
Id be prepared to pay up to £350 each for the flight, but would be happy if we could get it cheaper.

We are sorting our visas out in a couple of weeks. Theres a travel shop that does the visa service for £40 per person up the road from where i work so thats handy.

im counting down the days, fingers crossed, i will be on a plane to goa on the 24th jan

Glad to hear that the flight with Direct Holidays was Ok we've booked with them for March and the flight is with MyTravel, we've paid £440 each and I keep checking their website and its still coming up the same, I booked it 3 months ago. You may get lucky a bit nearer the time, but we didn't want to take any chances as we managed to book the accommodation we wanted to coincide.

Has anyone else had experience of booking a late flight? Late meaning less than a month before departure.

I think this year i booked about 5-6 weeks before departure.
