hi there we have just recieved our tickets for the thomson celebration colourful coasts cruise in december this year.
what we need to know is that on the tickets its says we need to pay £200 per person for onboard credit???
we are full board but have paid for the full drinks package meaning we are basically AI for food and drink.
so do we really need to pay £200 as most of us are taking only £300-£400 on the cruise.....£200 is a lot of money for then to take off us especially when food and drink is free...i know you can pay extra for some drink etc but not £200 in 1 week.
my mother went on this cruise 2 years ago and was able to put £50 per person on thier on-board credit...4 shared a room so i was wondering if its £200 per room???....this is still very steep??
please help as we leave on teh 12th of december
thanks for any info
A cash deposit might be the £200, the easiest way is to use a credit card to provide the up front line of credit needed, they may put a hold on some amount but not actualy charge till the end of the trip.
You can then pay any costs with anything you like berfore the end of the cruise, leqve it for the CC, use a debit card or just use cash.
This is what we do on all our cruises, use the CC, and then just before the end use any spare cash to bring the bill down letting the CC take whatever is left.
If you do not all have credit cards you could use one for all the accounts(you should still get billed seperately) then each person can pay down their spends with cash before the final night and the CC gets charged.
If you are paying cash and not credit card then it is £200 I'm afraid.
