Hi. have just booked a holiday to the Algarve, thanks in part to this very forum/website, anyway have enquired from bus company (can't insert company website until a couple more postings), that they travel twice a week to Seville, and pick up at your hotel, but alas I will be taking a holiday in a Villa rental, does anybody know if they do bus stop pick ups, or at designated rendezvous points.
Any help gratefully received.
Here is the web address for you. don't forget the www
algarve-tours-excursions.com

Hi Peter,
They've got a contact form on their website so you could ask them if they would pick you up at a bus stop or somewhere close to your villa. Do you know exactly where your villa is situated? It may be fairly close to a hotel, and then you could be picked up there.
If you do go on an excursion with Algarve Online, please post again and let everyone know how it went, as I for one haven't heard of this company before or seen their website. Looks as though it could be a useful one for people not wishing to hire a car or wanting a helping hand with excursions.

Hey.............thanks for the input. I have been in touch via e-mail with the company, and they do pick up from hotels, so will have to get in touch with James villa rentals, and find out the closest hotel.
I'm not going till late summer, so will post again later.
Meanwhile in April my wife & I are off on my 60th birthday cruise on the new Cunard Victoria, I see no posting yet, as it is still on it's maiden world cruise, still looking forward to it though.
I didn't think I would enjoy cruising, but 2 years ago we went on the Brilliance of the Seas for 12 nights, and I was converted.
Once again thanks for the welcome.

This cruise wgipk is 10 nights from Southampton, Madiera, Lisbon, Canaries etc and home again. Then Devon in May, Paris in July, then The Algarve early September, and Devon again early October, so this year my wife and I (recently retired) are really going for it this year.
I meant to tell everyone, if you book with james villas up until the end of February you get a free car for the duration, if you don't like the free car, you only pay for the upgrade, I upgraded to the VW Golf with A/C for the extra £60.00
We had a tremendous holiday in Andulucia last year with Page & Moy, staying in a luxury hotel in Antequera with Flamenco every night, with free Riocha wine with dinner, and wonderful trips to Seville, Cordoba, Grenada, and many more.
Will probably write this up in another forum.
Sorry for going off topic....................showing off really

Depending on pick ups it would take around 3 hours from Vilamoura to Seville. One of the tour company brochures I have indicates a pickup time at Vilamoura of 7am. That means arrival in Seville around 11am Spanish time (they are 1 hour ahead don't forget) so that might be a long ol' day!
cubsur................Cheers for that, hope the bus has A/C.
Thank you for your reply, I have done trip from Torremolinos to Gibraltar so I recon it would take the same time.
Anna.
