Hi
can anyone reccommend some rental agencies, looking for a 5 bedroom villa in albufeira within walking distance to beach for next august. looked at villaplus and the like and the prices seem rather high, when you add on the flight prices it works out to over £500 each which seem a lot to me for one week.hope theres lots of good advice out there!

We have used the algarveagency.com and travillas.com in the past and both were pretty good.
thanks lummie will have a look
Hi, we've just come back from Vale De Parra on Saturday. We rented 'Casa Miguel' from villaplus for 2 Adults and 2 kids, and whilst you're right about the overall cost inc. flights, firstly we struggled to do any better ourselves despite quite a bit of research. However, having accepted that the Euro is now so strong and cheap flights are pretty much non existent to the area, so we'd have to pay what we did, I can thoroughly recommend Villaplus and their villas. It's by far the best we've been to and their service was excellent from the pack of info sent out before we left, to the standard of the villa and it's amenities. The search is already on for a villa for next year, hopefully we can get a better deal on flights. Good luck!!
we stayed at the quinta da balaia last year, booked through villas to go and it cost £323 a head with flights for a 6 bedroom, this was in july and school holidays.we need a 5 bedroom villa for next year and i do agree with you that villa plus seem really superior but we are on a budget and £3000 for a villa for one week is a lot of money.we then have the flight costs on top.I think that with the flights going up so much that the villa owners will have to lower there prices or suffer the consequences.

Yep, DIY is not the cheapest option anymore unless you are in a position to book your flights really early. Package deals may be on the way back?? Still enjoy the freedom of a diy holiday though On some deals this year it was almost as well to book a package deal just for the flight alone.
we also like d.i.y,have the next 3 holidays booked for hubby and I and reckon on each one have saved enough for holiday spends mind you both retired now so are not restricted. The july one like to do with family but being restricted to school hols the prices are way to high,so will keep on looking and hopefully there will be some discounts offered on the flights.reading all the doom and gloom in newspapers I think the airlines will have to offer a few carrots!
thanks elaine, have looked at the atlantida on owners direct, sounds perfect but felt nervous about booking direct, you have really put my mind at rest
