Just thought I'd report back, as no-one else replied on this. We did use Villa Select and have just returned from our holiday in a beautiful 100 year old restored villa in Crete. They primarily act as a villa booking agency but will also book your flights and car hire for you, if you wish. They had a rep in the area who was at the airport on arrival day and arranged to come and see us at the villa, with the option to decline that if we weren't interested - it did give the comfort factor of having someone local to turn to if you had problems. Our rep was very helpful and suggested places to visit and also sorted out a couple of issues for us. I'd recommend the company to anyone looking at villa hire.
