We used it once when our flight was delayed. Just walked up, paid and went in. The next time, we tried that and they turned us away because it was full. So presumably it is becoming more well known and popular. Out tour op, Travel City Direct, offers you the chance to pre-book it, so probably the other big companies do too. However we feel it is only really worth it if you are delayed. Our children preferred the amusement arcade in the departure area where you pay a lump sum and get unlimited use of the machines.

Many thanks for the replies :!:

I asked the My Travel Rep we booked the flight through, and she said that they did not get involved in booking anything on the American side! Very usefull travel rep! NOT! :?
If TCD are prepared to take bookings for the lounge, I do not understand why My Travel will not!
I will probably take a chance and turn up at the door, like you did previously mehmeh!

This is TCD's webpage about it, which gives price and what you get for your money. It's cheaper these days, presumably thanks to good exchange rate.

As it gets full, you should go straight there. You can always come out and go back in again once you are booked in. My husband and I liked it.

You can book direct with the lounge in advance (sorry don't have the contact details).

We went there last trip and it was well worth the money - even without any delays occurring....I'd high recommend it, especially if you have kids.

we were delayed by travel city for 9 hours in May and couldn't get into the lounge for love or money.

So-on our Sept trip we booked it-and we spent merely 10 mins in it before they boarded us.!

It costs £11-so I don't know-if you are not delayed I wouldn't bother.

We always find it well worth the money. The kids love the fact they aren't made to stay in our sight all the time, they can spend their time on the playstations, internet and watching a movie in the theatre. They even have a special area for the younger kids. There are plenty of seats and your entry includes all soft drinks, snacks and the entertainment provied. You are issued with a wristband with two free alcoholic drinks for the over 18's and are free to come and go in the lounge as you wish. It can get rather crowded in the general area and queuing for a drink or finding a seat can be a nightmare if there are delayed planes.

There is only enough space in the lounge for a certain number of people on each flight, when they have filled this quota you get the we are full speach. There are screens in the lounge to give you flight information so if you don't want to leave the sanctuary of the lounge you don't have to until your ready to board.

Hope this helps

We were there a few years ago with our kids and grandkids. Ww always get to the airport really early and found this to be well worth the money, we actually booked it when we were in Orlando.
