Hi, I am looking at flights to Florida for July 2008(first time)
I have had quotes from Virgin and Thomson and only a £100 difference betwee the both(both quotes include a car- virgin offering us a full size car).
I have never used either of these airlines (furthest we have flown is Majorca), I will have 2 children ages 12 and 6.
Need advice on which is the best airline, I want comfort as this is our first long haul flight.
Is it adviseable to wait a little longer before booking flights, will they go cheaper.
Any advice is appreciated,
thanks
For the sake of £100 i would choose Virgin every time.. i have flown Virgin long haul and Thomson short haul so i probably cant give the best of comparisons but everything from the quality of the aircraft interior / food / staff etc was by far superior on Virgin not to mention the level of customer service beforehand.....for such little difference i wouldnt even think about Thomson...although thats not to say that someone else might not think Thomson the better option....happy holdidays
I vote Virgin as well
I agree - Virgin every time. I have flown with Thomson & Virgin to Orlando and definitely Virgin, although I have seen the Thomson advert that is now saying their seat pitch is more than BA and Virgin which it was not when I travelled with them last year I would still choose Virgin for the quality of service, food, games for children and also you fly to Orlando International (MCO) with Virgin which is slightly closer to travel to the tourist area where I'm sure you will be staying, Thomson fly to Orlando Sanford (SFB) but to be honest if it was hundreds of pounds cheaper then the journey difference between the 2 airports is nothing but for the sake of £100 in total I'd opt for Virgin.
Does anyone have any idea what cost I should be looking at for july- 1st 2 wks of schools hols, I am getting quotes of £2600-£2780- with a car.
I am unsure whether to wait a little longer to see if they go cheaper or book them now in case I lose them and they go dearer.
Sorry for all the questions but this is our first time and not sure at what cost I should be looking for,
thanks again
