No, never but then again we live in Glasgow and there is a Visa Surgery every second Saturday of the month, and there is always the Indian Consulate in Edinburgh, so dont have any problems obtaining a Visa.
No! Despite the efforts of India's sales prevention teams that staff their Visa Offices
NO . going to visa surgery in leeds tomorrow.
Yes we are definately looking else where we live in Goa at the moment but we are sick of the Indian goverment making things difficult with the visas, no X visas are being given out and if you are lucky to get a twelve month visa you still have to leave after 180 days, I think our goverment should step and do something about this problem because Goa will lose a lot of money in the near future when the tourism drops, it is all well and good the Indian goverment saying they only want tourists because they spend more but what about the overall situation we have people come to see us and they spend lots of money and we spend plenty of money through the year, i think they need to think again.
I had better stop here before i get carried away and start talking about England letting people in to our country.

Glad I have started to re-visit this forum, as we have just booked for next Jan and didn't know about the visa situation....am a bit, "spooked" by the new rules, and immediately thought "I am gonna cancel"..
But think I will try and go through one of the Tour companies offering the postal services that other members have mentioned..hopefully it will be as easy as applying to the Embassy albeit more expensive..fingers crossed

yes we are going as we have already booked, however, after 6 years we thin k this will be the last one due the visa situation as we live in Cornwall so quite a hike for us to get visas. we will now think about somewhere else without the hassle! What a shame
no - never- no matter how much hassle its still worth it

Yes.Was going to book this weekend but as I have alredy posted a rant in the visa section do not think I need to repeat it here.Loved our return to Goa but as with the U.S.A it is such a hassle and there are so many other places to visit who make it easier to get in.Seems Fiona that a lot of people have already booked so I think this is skewing the results. The true test will be once everyone finds out the agro and extra cost involved.
I bet Goa will be awful empty in a couple of years.Gotta love the twisted Indian logic.

Yes will definately consider changing next year. Too many places to visit to be bothered with the hassle
This years already booked so got to grin and bear it.

We will still go. When all the hassle with the visas started we said we wouldn't go again but after we calmed down and thought about it we decided we would still go - we need the dentist and the optician, I'm not paying English prices! Fortunately there is a visa surgey near to us but I can understand why people don't want to go when they have to take time off work. We wouldn't go again if it meant using our holidays to go to a visa office, holidays are too hard to come by.
Coming out in Nov and only just found out about visa situation by accident - what a pain! Amount charged by agencies is ridiculous, luckily there is a surgery I can go to, but still a nuisance.using up a well earned day off! This is 4th year of a girly week going in Goa, but will definately have to re think next year
