The advice I was given on the forum was to first check availability and cost of flights. Book them and then search for accomodation. It worked out well for us but we were not looking at such a busy time nor for a particular hotel. So it may be worth pricing flights (don't know which airlines fly from your area, but someone will answer) and then if you particularly want the Flamingo Oasis and check prices and availability BEFORE booking flights. Benidorm Spotlight and Trip Advisor among many others can book hotels or you can book direct with the hotel.
Remember if going this route to allow for transfers from Alicante.

This will the second year I have booked diy. Last year I was very nervous, but my holiday in Majorca was a complete success. I have booked direct this year. In the past I have booked with Thomson, not anymore. I saved £300 on my holiday not booking with them. I booked direct with the hotel chain. I have booked direct with Spotlight this year, and they are very reasonable. I might add I did look at the Thomson accommodation site, and they were still too dear. One thing you don't have to pay your balance for your stay till you get there.

Hi Danny, Don't know if its for the 3 of you of how long you want to go to FO for, but I've done a quick check on Thomsons site and this is just a quicky for you to compare: You have 3 options:
1) Normal package for 3 leaving Manchester 28/7 for 7 nights comes to £2117 drops to £2027 for 29th for 7 nights again.
2) Build your own on the site which includes flight and Hotel works out at £1560 for 28th or £1290 for 29th. Only difference from package is the transfer which will cost about £80 return for you all.
3) Hotel only for all 3 £847 either for 28th or 29th . If you find flightss Flights under £150 each would make this the cheapest. Karen

HotelConnect had this particular accomodation very cheaply over the Winter period

Don't expect to save a huge amount of money. You might save 10% but you aren't going to get a half price holiday. To do that you need to book the flights very early in the year. To be honest what you want to do is the worst possible combination, a specific hotel, in August (which is when most Spanish people take their holidays).
Personally, I've always booked the flights first on the grounds that there is ALWAYS some accommodation available, even if it's not what I really want, while it's quite possible for there to be no available flights from my local airports on a particular day. That's just habit from my late booking days, now, with kids to take, I have to book so early it doesn't really matter.

PS. Even though you won't save a fortune, the amount you will save will pay for a few good nights out! When you do the sums, don't forget to factor in about £80 for return taxis.

Hi adams123 ... you could try the Comunitat Valenciana tourism website. Click here for their search facility, ignoring the 1st and 4th search fields. You need only select from the 2nd and 3rd fields for a general search, which should return alphabetical results for hotels or apartments, including web and email details, etc.
