Hi

We are going to Salou next week, and wondering what waterpark is best, and the easiest way to get.

Also was wondering the options for getting to Port Aventura.

Staying at H10 Europa Park by the way.

Thanks

For us, the waterpark at PortAventura was better than Aquopolis at La Pineda. It's newer, had shorter (quicker) queues, and (most importantly) our kids could go on more of the rides as the height restrictions were different. Our youngest was 1m15 last year and could go on almost everything at Costa Caribe.

You could walk to PortAventura from the Europa park, or get the bus or land train from Placa Europa which is just around the corner if memory serves. Look out for the Plana reps, as they can tell you which buses go where. You can also get the bus to La Pineda and it stops right outside Aquopolis. Last year, McDonalds were giving out vouchers with Happy Meals for free entry for kids at Aquopolis.

Have a good one - we're going in 2 weeks!

I agree with Harry Boat, Costa Caribe is far better than Aquopolis.

You can walk to it (i did). it would take you about 10/ 15 mins to get there or you can get the road train. (takes you all the way there).

The place opens at 10am and have a food court in there and loads of snack bars around the place. Dont rent out the water rings (as we did) because most rides have them included for free.
(they dont bother telling you this!).

You can also leave the water park and come back later for free (you get stamped and then you show it when you come back).

The only reason Aquopolis could be better is that it has a dolphin and seal lion show, but overall the rides are better at Costa Caribe.

I have read a bit aboutt he 2 waterparks but can't seem to find their own websites for prices etc, can anyone help, I'm going with a 15 yr old girl and 7 yr old girl and staying in Cap Salou, which one is the nearest.

Also any comments on the all inclusive H top Mimosa park, I'm not expecting the ritz and as long as I get clean bed linen we'll be fine as we paid next to nothing anyway.

Thanks

Hi Jo,

I presume the 2 water parks you are referring to are Caribe Aquatic Park at PortAventura, and Aquopolis at La Pineda. Try these links http://www.portaventura.co.uk/ and http://www.aquopolis.es/costa-daurada/index.php I can't see how to get the 2nd one into English though! If you're at Cap Salou, you'll be closer to Aquopolis, but they're both worth a look (we thought Caribe was much better, but our kids were 7 & 8, and not tall enough for all the slides at Aquopolis)

There's also Aqualeon http://www.aqualeon.es/safari/costadorada/index.php but that's quite a bit further away from Salou.

Thanks for your reply HB, does anyone know who to turn the spanishwebsite into English, I would lke to book from the UK before I leave on my card so I'm not carrying as much money with me.

Is there a booking agent I can use for both to compare? Can we get a bus to them?

Thanks

Jo
