firstly welcome to HT,

the weather in oct is generally still fairly warm but we have been there previous years where there has been a thunder storm and pouring rain for a few days, so you need to be prepared in case this happens, its pot luck you could have a week of glorious sunshine too,you will probably need a lightweigh jacket or cardy as it can get chilly in the evenings, resorts will be winding down but plenty will be open, we are going til 1st nov, so staying right til the end :rofl

It depends on which resort you are going to. Most resorts will be closing up in the last week or two but you will always find some places open. If you are going to somewhere that is a town, rather than just a resort there will be more open later.

The weather can be really nice right up until the end of october, although there can be a storm sometimes, it usually passes over pretty quickly though. The evenings do get dark early and it gets quite chilly so bring a jacket.

The good thing about going at the end of season is that you can gets some great bargains in the shops and they start bringing out the winter clothes too.

I went to Ichmeler on 11th Oct 07 for a week, the weather was still but went very cold at night. Most bars and restaurants were still open but most of them were due to close they week after we got back.

Hope this is helpful

October weather can be lovely mids 20s to 30 degress, although cooler in the evening. If you go to resorts like Kalkan, Kas, Fethiye, Calis there will still be plenty of places open until the end of October.

Have a good time.

Cheers

I recommend you go to the med side, side`,lara, belek etc, as its usually a couple of degrees warmer there in october. we went last year to side in half term and it was lovely and warm of a day 28-30dg but went chilly of a night, had a few night showers and one electric storm :yikes but again that was night time.theres usually no sunbed wars aswell so thats another plus :sun2

Depends what you mean by "cold" in the evenings, I guess. We've been to Icmeler in October twice (both times towards the end of the month) and the weather has been lovely. Last October, it was really warm during the day - a bit cooler at night, but we didn't find it all that cold. Then again, we're hardy Scots! :rofl

I have just booked to go in october for the first time at that time of year, and we go on the 23rd october which is our sons school holidays! We go to the Antalya area and it is an all year round area and should also be warmer! I hate going away when everything is closing up around you!
