Hi Clare,
We are staying at the Senfoni Hotel (read some good and bad reviews on that place, but its only a base for sleeping and showering) and we fly out on Sept 27th. I dont think its too far from the beach. When we went in July we were right on the beach front behind Natalies Steakhouse, brilliant location and the hotel was marvellous.
I hope you have a great time in Marmaris, I did in July but it was too hot to do too much in the day, so I intend to do a lot more this time.
I am sure you will love Marmaris, I think everybody who goes out there fall in love straight away and keep returning. The people are just wonderful and cant do enough for you.

Ahhh I've been watching the webcam all morning. It looks like a lovely warm dy in sunny marmaris. It's so addictive, I need to get ready for work now but I can't stop watching it!

well if july and august is anything to go by ,i cant see it been busy in sept ,may was the same ,never mind more sun rays for us

Our friends flew out to Marmaris last night, so I have agreed to look at teh webcam at 10:00 this morning to see if I can see them wavign to me lol.

Can't understand why it's so quiet (apart from maybe the recent bombs of course) We booked in early July for September and got the last 2 seats on the flight from Edinburgh and thought it would be pretty busy. I was there last year at this time and there's no way it was so quiet in the Ataturk statue area. Does anyone know if it's really quiet in the bars etc at night too?

Shame you missed them, that would have been funny!
It was quiet when we went in May too, but it was lovely and peaceful. It wasn't too quiet to not have an atmosphere, it was just not too crowded. If this holiday is half as good as the one in May we are going to have an amazing time.

I prefer it when its not too much hustle and bustle anyway. Oh nothing worse than walking behind people walking really really slow and getting bumped etc, queueing up to get a drink, waiting fro a table! I quite like the way it was in July too.
