Sorry has taken a while to give a report, been quite busy since we have been back.

Well it all went perfectly, I can't believe it did considering I did all the planning and arranging via the internet and email from the UK. We landed on the Tuesday, jetlag was ok - met with the celebrant on the Thursday. I had contacted him via the Australian Embassy, arranged the date with him, seen the solicitor here to get the legal paperwork signed and sent off. We then needed to meet with him in advance of the wedding to sign his paperwork and to talk through the service and what readings we would like etc. It was a non religious service and we decided to write our own vows.
Once that was completed I went for a hair trial, in a hair salon my friend had recommended and then bought my dress!! It was a bit of gamble leaving it until we were out there, but i hadn't been able to find anything I liked here. I was very lucky and found a beautiful floor length white sundress that cost £40! :really

I had arranged the flowers from here and just needed to pay the money for them into the florist's bank account - luckily that was very easy and the people in the bank were very helpful in assisting with this.

On the Saturday we met at the beach with the photographer to look at where we could have photos taken and where the ceremony would take place.

Then it was pure relaxation until the day (Thursday).

We got up nice and early, took a couple of phonecalls from our mums!! They were both in tears - but happy tears, and kept saying how proud they were of us. Then I went to get my hair done whilst my now husband! went to get the flowers. Once we were all back at the house, we opened the package from my mum that she had given us - which had the something old, something new, etc in it. It was very emotional and a few tears were shed. Then we got dressed and went off to the beach for the 4pm service.

It was beautiful and amazing. We married at the foreshore, barefeet with toes in the water. Neither of us had heard each other's vows so more tears were shed! We then had a series of photos taken and went for a very nice meal in a posh restaurant on the beach. Following that we travelled to the hotel, where our friends had booked us a suite for the night, and drank champagne until the bar closed. In between we were fielding calls and texts from friends and family who had found out that day.

Was the most fantastic, beautiful, amazing day of my life!
