we are off to my sister in laws wedding in JAVEA next week 15th Sept ,going for the week . Staying at a big villa somewhere and will be about 40 there on the saturday.
whats it like at night etc ? is it a big village /town,not been to mainland Spain for many years.
looking to have a few nights quietly eating and drinking and maybe a bopp !!! can still do that even at 58.
love turkey and would be there now if wasnt for the family event so ANY thoughts on JAVEA ???
and dont say go into Benidorm.
Javea is not at all like Benidorm , no high buildings , only a few hotels , many villas
Many residents from Inland Spain and whole Europe live there during the whole year .
Javea has about 30.000 inhabitants and a coastline of about 25 kms.
There are 3 main districts :
- the historic old town on a hill , 2 kms from the coastline .
- Port area with fishing and leisure port , a promenade and gravel beach
- Arenal area : sandy beach with promenade, restaurants and bars
Between these areas you find apartmentbuildings and some bungalows .
Outside the 3 main areas are villas within large plots . Some of them with spectacular views to the sea .
