! Have to say we had a wonderful time, Javea is beautiful. After holidaying in the Canaries we actually found Javea to be really cheap, 2 euros for a coke as apposed to 4 euros in the Canaries. Beach is lovely and the prom is really safe for children as no worry about cars etc. Will definitely be back next year! 
Word of warning. If you are using Goldcar and are paying with debit card they will down grade your car that you pre-booked and charge you extra for 'insurance' so just make sure you have enough money.
