I'm getting wed in Cyprus (Grecian Park ) in October this year although I booked it all myself - believe me girls it's really easy to do that and saves so much money. Plus I noticed that people had so many problems with tour operators and couldn't get a DEFINITE time for their actual wedding either.

I find it a bit odd that you can book a wedding but have a possible THREE times!!! What's that all about?!

I'm marrying into a Cypriot family so if anyone wants any advice getting things done themself then let me know!

Thinking of having our wedding reception at the No1 resturant in Protaras, about 25 people. If anyone could let us know anything about it, then that would be great. :D

Booked our wedding with First Choice. has anyone a picture of their carnation buttonholes and bouquet? My intention is to add to it with a Scottish touch but I need to see the starting product first.

Hello Everyone

I have been visiting the board for a while now and have finally decided to join. There is lots of useful information on here. I am going to be getting married in September 2006 in Cyprus so will have to keep you updated on my plans. I am very excited :D now as I have just booked my holiday and wedding through a company called Planet Holidays http://www.planet-holidays.co.uk I haven't seen anyone else on here that has mentioned them but I have travelled with them a few times in the past and had a great holiday everytime, and their wedding brochure is superb. Has anyone booked a wedding with them before?

Hi All,

My husband and i got married in 2002 at the town hall in Ayia Napa, booked it all through First Choice. They were fantastic arranging absolutely everything form cars to flowers to a hairdresser. The day was by far the best day of my life even though it was 42 degrees. Would definately recommend going abroad to get married. I'd love to do it again (to my husband of course).

Hi Jo

We held our wedding at the Grecian Sands Chapel which is out the front of the Grecian Sands Hotel and we had a reception in the Grecian sands hotel. We cut the cake and had bubbly in the Mediterranean Suite then we went outside to the Wedding Pavilion and had a finger buffet. As the night went on we then made our way to the hotel bar and had a dance.

We hadn't arranged anything for the reception before we got there. we went for a meeting with the hotel Manager and he told us everything we could have and we just choose everything there. There took care of everything, table arrangements Etc. we just had to choose the colours.

Hope this answers your question.

Hello all,

Myself and my partner Claire are planning on getting married in Paphos Cyprus at the Ayia Kyriaki Church in May 2007.

We have come across I Do weddings at http://www.ido.com.cy and have been speaking to the couple that run the business called Igor and Tracey.

They both seem very nice and well organised and professional.

The fee is around £700 GBP for them to organise the wedding and that does not include any other associated costs, church, marrige license Ect...

Is this about the right sort of cost or are there other companies that do the same for a lot less that are equally as good.

All we really want is the church to be booked and the evening reception at a restaurant of some sort.

Can any one give us some help or advice and if anyone has got married at this church what's it like??

Has anyone used I DO, if so what are you experiences of them !!!

Can anyone also reccomend a good resturant that is not too far from the Ayia Kyriaki Church that he could hold our evening reception ???
