Both water parks are very good. Western has entertainment as well as pools, slides etc.

They are side by side , so equally close to Palma Nova

Hi Kazzzza.
We have been to both in the last few years. They both have their good points. The Western Waterpark has more by way of "entertainment" and "shows" but is more suitable for older kids and adults. The Aquapark has more slides and areas for children.

This year we had to go to the Aquapark in Arenal because Western Waterpark had closed for the season. Personally, we preferred the Aquapark and are glad we went there but thats only because, I think, we have a 4 year old and there was loads for her to do.

This year we went to Aqualand In Arenal and was bitterly disappointed. I felt it looked for a better word "Tired" :(

2 years before we went to the western water park in magaluf.
It was much nicer than the afore mentioned.

Thanks Sazmo30

That's it sorted then.
I will have to go to Western Water Park.
The other won't be open

Thank you :D

I think you will find that aqualand opens first - mid may - i seem to remember, with the western park opening later.

Since last year they are both owned by the same company, and to save costs they only open both parks once there is sufficient business.

I looked at the Aqualand site, and it opens 2nd June.

Western opens first.

I don't really care, as long as one of them is open.

Western Waterpark actually closed during the 2nd week of September for the season whilst we were there this year, hence the reason we had to go to Aqualand.

Please note - Western Water Park is not, repeat not open all year round.

It closed in September, maybe October, and is unlikely to open until May / June next year. They don't state set opening or closing dates, since it depends on the excursions that the Holiday Reps sell, and the number of holidaymakers here.

Cheers

Hi all

Sorry for the confusion, I only took the date from this website http://www.indigoguide.com/majorca/western-water-park-magaluf.htm
which states it is open all year round.

That's what I did too, took the opening times given on both the websites Sarah.
