hi,i would advise you not to go all inclusive in malta, its very poor value and your treated like a 2nd class citizen in most hotel bars, as for food go half board and use the local cafe's for lunch or the beach kiosks which are pretty good, local bars are much cheaper than hotel bars so use them for your favorite tipple.maltese hoteliers do not understand the all inclusive concept so avoid it like the plague.!!as for my hotel recommendation try the dolmen resort hotel its in qawra and is just a short walk along the prom to bugibba, its near the bus station and a man made beach is just across the road, this hotel always gets good reviews on this website,i own a timeshare apartment in this hotel so i know it well.once again,please-please do not go all inclusive to malta, hope you enjoy your holiday in september, its a lovely time to visit this wonderful island,regards,tiny6862.

;) hi finding nemo,(great film by the way) i know what you mean by "animated stuff" most large hotels in malta have animation teams mainly to keep the kids amused around the pool area, they can be quite intrusive at times when your trying to get some peace and quite while you soak up the rays,my recommended hotel, the dolmen, does have such a team but they are fairly low key compared to some i could mention,in any case when you visit this wonderful island in september all the kids will be back at school so there wont be that many on holiday at that time, further to my comments regarding all inclusive in malta this is how it works at the bar for drinks, when you want a drink you have to join the queue at reception to place your order, they give you a ticket to present at the bar,one drink only per person,no doubles, when you want another,(like you do) you have to repeat the process all over again, very frustrating,!! plus,of course, you will be getting local produced booze, the beers o-k but the spirits are rubbish compared to what you are used to at home,as for food out of proper meal times you may be offered a few curled up sarnie's or rolls, because of this the dolmen resort hotel does not offer its guests an all inclusive option.
