i went in 2004 and paid 740 for 2 weeks for us both at the nizmar. very happy with that
I flew to Mumbai in 1999 traveling around before I reached Goa and that was a 6 Month ticket for £475 on Lufthansa, last year I paid £909 for 3 of us for 2 weeks at Renton Manor
it doesn't matter how much, it is still worth it
is this the budget wing of Monarch?
1994 - paid £350 for 3 weeks with inspirations, staying at xaviers beach resort candolim.
Yes it has gone up a lot. I have found the flights a lot more expensive this year but I can still get a decent room/apartment for £8 a night - I could get one for £3 if I wanted! Still, I feel more at home there than here so it has to be done!
Good flights, plenty of room, direct to Goa.
Is it worth doing your own thing unless you are going for much longer ?
we've never paid more than around £520 each for 2 weeks, we've been in jan & march & this year are booked for 1st dec this year. i spend a while searching on the net.............but i think its well worth the money, in the early90's i paid around the same for kenya & the dominican republic so really cant complain, the hotels we've stayed in in goa have all been good value for money, places like the magnum, osbourne etc
when you think how much people have to pay to go short haul to places like tenerife in school holidays i think what we pay for the long flight to goa including acomodation is a bargain!!! ( & even if it was more expensive id still go )
£520 each or for 2 ??
hi
1st time was in 2000. Sonesta Inns with Cosmos, £179 pp for a fortnight in March.
Clear to me too now I read it properly. 1040 fror 2 weeks equates the same as us !
Last December paid £199 with Monarch for three weeks flight only inc taxes etc. Also got upgrade to Premium for £100 return.thought I'd spoil myself and was certainly worth the money but wouldnt have paid the full price which would have been £299 upgrade (I think?) First and only time so cheap, just a case of being in my travel agents at the right time, was booked six weeks before flying!
Our first time to India was in November 2000 and we paid around £800 for 2 of us for two weeks.
I paid £1,800 for two weeks flight only over Christmas/New Year for 2005/2006 through Monarch. It was Premium economy on the way there and the 'black hole of Calcutta' class on the way back. Needless to say I won't be flying with Monarch again.
Just looking back on pages on the forum and I found this ...for this november we paid £615 for 3 weeks in the silver sands candolim ...and for march next year we paid £470 for the Maria calangute .........have you all found the prices went up for this year we were lucky to book when we got home last December and got a very good price I think ........colleen
Manchester to Goa via Mumbai, £385 each flight only, on scheduled. Cheapest I have ever got it!
