what do I do if it rains?

We are off to hisaronu tuesday morning 30th

I normally check chelsea boy's weather reports and grin that its still hot.
I googled the weather for next 7 days and it looks like the temps are well down to what I am used to in Turkey (30s - 40s) and also a chance it may rain!!!!!!
All the things we normally do in turkey involve being out in the sun, any suggestions as to what to do if it rains. I guess I could have a turkish bath every day

Sit in a bar and drink.

Ask a local to teach you backgammon.

I dont actually do much sunbathing but do sit in the shade near the pool and read alot of books.

But it might be a prob if you have kids,think that you might spend more time drinking ... lol

Me and the kids did play alot of cards this year even though the weather was glorious

Take an umbrella and do a bit of sightseeing. I don't know what there is around that area but there must be something of interest to look at. Or hop on a dolmus and just have a drive to somewhere new.

We are in Turkey at present, its a bit over caste today, but still warm, the weather has been fantastic, buy yourself one of those cheap cagools before you come out easy poped in bag, take a trip to diffeent area may not be raining there.
According to the locals Oct is a good month, not to hot

I too am worried its gonna rain when i fly out next week.

we have had such a washout again with our summer here, im worried its going to be a case of ''sods law'' and rain non stop when we are in marmaris, and have a drwan out summer here!!!

In the past when it has rained we've gone straight to the water park, the place is empty so no queueing for the slides and we're wet from the splash pools so no problem getting wet from the rain which is still warm.

well I am going to pack a brolly, raincoat & wellies, that way the sun is bound to shine every day :rofl

we probably will jump on a dolmus and explore the first week. second week my sons, dil's & grandaughter are coming out so hope its sunny for them.
have packed 4 books in my case and 3 puzzle books. will just ejoy not being at work and a change of scenery. :cheers

exactly lapinkfluff... just enjoy being away, even if its raining, its still gonna be warm....and oh so restfull, im going to be in marmaris next friday, i cant wait.... soooo excited, i know the kids will still be in the pool whatever the weather!

We had a wonderful storm here in Dalyan last night, but its so different to England as it dosnt matter, its warm rain.
Its beautiful today, we just popped into bar had a few wines, now i know you cant be doing that with kids but Marmaris has loads going on for them, so dont worry you all enjoy it,
