You're spot on Kenny
Get the picture?
As for hair stuff, well I wouldn't go anywhere without my own hairdryer, because the ones you get in hotels always take 4 times as long to dry my hair and I couldn't possibly do without my hair straighteners for going out at night and I like to have plenty of conditioner and maybe a hot oil pack in case my hair dries out in the sun and so on and so on.
I have learnt over the years to pack as few clothes as possible for beach holidays though. You never wear everything you take and by the time they've been crushed in the suitcase with all the dirty stuff on the way back, even unworn clothes still need washing and ironing, so I try to think ahead and save myself a bit of work when I get home
Kenny is going to Goa
I should think as long as she stays within her 20kg or whatever, then there's no problem!
Have a great time
Believe me it is not just women who are bad...................I have just had a look in my partners case and thrown out more than half the clothes he was planning to take!! We are off to the Gambia on Friday so daytime temps around 31 and night-time 23 and the idiot had packed 4 woolen jumpers(fishermen type, so really heavy!!) and heaps of thick wooly socks , have just explained to him that the evening temperatures are warmer than our hottest summer day here at home, oh, and shoes...........don't get me started!...................suffice to say he now has a lot less than he started out with
Good luck
Scruffyish
3 pairs trousers
1 wrap around
11 tops/vests/tees
1 pair flip flops
2 pairs sandals
1 pair shorts
misc bikinis and undies
1 sunhat
1 lightweight sweater (mainly took that for travelling, but I did wear it a couple of times when it was a bit windy in the evenings)
I wore everything at least twice and bikinis, undies and the vest tops I wore to the beach got rinsed through in the shower each evening. I don't think I could get away with much less than that for 2 weeks and then there's the hairdressing shop in my carry-on of course
you men are all the same..dont you know half the pleasure in being away is chosing clothes, wanting to look nice for you lot ooof
You need very little clothing to holiday in Goa. The climate is mega comfortable.Long sleeves +long leg cover for the nights+mozzie repelant.
Black lacy knickers for daytime attire+wooly socks. Hope this helps.

Wooly socks for Goa??
I am going to the gambia on friday travelling with my two teenage daughters. we only have 15kg weight allowance, i have packed and unpacked umpteem times and still cant get down to this weight. It would not be so much of a problem if we didnt have to take so many long trousers but as they say you have to wear these at night the only long trousers i possess are jeans and they weigh a ton. Just wondered if anyone has been there and got away with wearing skirts and applying repellant to the areas that are exposed. My wash gear and medicine supplies and sprays weigh over 5kg. We were really hoping to take things out for some of the local people so wil probably just end up paying the charge for the extra weight.
Don't forget you hand luggage allowance as well, usually 5 kilos each per person, make use of it.
I was actually really suprised! got bavck from america not long ago after a 2 week trip. usally my suitcase is really light but this time it was only just within the limits. To makematters worse but i really seemed to run low on clean clothes by the second week I must admit though i usually only go for a week at a time
If youre a woman like me - Everything but the kitchen sink !!!!!
Myself,my husband and 3 kids.
More often than not, like most of you out there i re-pack half a dozen times before chucking out most of my husbands clothes!
He never notices and if he did he knows i'd tell him to pack himself, and i know he'd never do that!
I find writing a list for each person and working out outfits from that helps.
You will find there are quite alot of things you won't wear and like others mentioned, you can always rinse them out with travel wash.
Please be aware though.
Last year my daughter spilt a drink on a top and when she went and changed just put the wet top in the case.By the time we got home a week later, the wet patch was mouldy and the top was ruined.
Sounds disgusting but i think if you can't wash things then at least wait till they are dry before packing them.
It was a really nice top too!
Also, last year i found trousers for the kids and hubby that zipped off into shorts!
They were great for travelling in and of course doubled up while we were there.
They are first on my list this year!
