went to Club Candan (Jandan) in Marmaris last summer, and really enjoyed it.
We've already been on holiday this summer, so don't really want to go away again so soon, but would love to go there in the darker months of the year.
I know that Candan is a 'Thomson' hotel, whatever that means, but I don't think they do holidays over autumn/winter period, so what happens to the hotel?
If i managed to find flights myself, would I be able to book the hotel independently?
apologies if all this sounds daft, but I think it would be just the thing when it gets all cold and miserable here!

It's cold and miserable there too, well certainly around Ovacik / Hisaronu, If the hotels in Marmaris are anything like they are in Ovacik then most of them get moth balled for the winter, there are very few hotels open all year round.

There are hotels by the marina which are open during the winter months, they have a good time at New year, firworks ect.
I am sure if you surf the net you will find them, as already mentioned it gets cold and it rains to, hard to believe really when you are sunning in high temps during the summer months.

moreand more places are staying open through the winter but believe me the temperature change can be very dramatic to say the least

we have flights booked to dalaman for easter and ive only found 4 hotels open in marmaris trawling through the accommodation only sites, i have been in winter a fair few times inc new year and xmas and its warmer than the uk and some days sunny, one new year we were sitting on the beach in t shirts but i think we were very lucky, but it gets extremely cold at night
most of the tourist area shuts, but there are some of the bigger sea front hotels still open. I'm hopefully emailing some today to find if the are opening for christmas so I can put a section on my website.
try the candan on the beech, we stayed there in febuary a couple of years ago
thanks for the suggestions, I thought I'd be expecting a mild-to-warm ish holiday in Marmaris that time of year, didn't realise that it could actually get cold!
