if you are wanting to stay on the seafront there are only 2 other hotels
the tenerife playa (sister hotel to the san felipe) which is a good choice
and the las vegas which was good years ago but cant comment on now
on the main avenida there
is the concordia playa which seems to be used solely by saga now and the hotel atlantis around the corner which people say is very dated
there are other hotels around town but they are not seafront position for example the el tope in la paz - lovely hotel but a long walk down the steps into town
how long is it since your parents have been to puerto as the seafront and other streets have been pedestrainised in the past few years
we have been at xmas 12 times in the past 14 years and the weather can be mixed -the worst we have had is 6 days rain and 8 days blue sky other times it has been wall to wall sunshine in the 80's
if the weather turns bad it always seem to be just after the new year celebrations
the best thing about being there at xmas is it does not get dark until about 7.15 at night -great to sit outside at 5 0clock having a bottle of wine in the evening sun
