Hi yes that is the same trip as we went on i thought it was a value for money day out,we really enjoyed it and thought it interesting at the carpet factory one visit but would get boring everytime, cleopatrics pool was great but we only paid 18 lira as well, which worked out about £6-£7.We also had to pay for drinks with our meal but a whole day out for that price we thought was very reasonable. The tour rep guy was great and very helpful, they have stopped certain places of the pamukale being walked on to preserve the beauty of it,how can they make that again, like stonehenge you cannot go on that again 8)

We went on the trip some years ago and YES we ended up at the carpet factory.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But we stayed over night at a really nice 5 star hotel, with show included, had a great time, but a very long journey.

Went on a trip to Patar, some years ago,we all voted NOT to go to the CF
driver and rep were not best pleased, but we all stood our ground, spent more time on the beach instead, so why not try that yourself next time.

It made our day.

i have noticed, wherever we go on holls, we are always being dragged to carpet factories! lol
as for the trip, it was something i was looking at - but do not think i will bother now.
i understand about them needing to preserve it and stuff, but it should have been made clear that you would not be allowed full access at the time of booking.

I've been on several jeep safaris and have never yet been to a carpet or any other factory. We always ask before booking and make it clear what we do and don't want. Its possible to find trips without these stops. You just need to be choosy.

glad to see they are still doing the carpet factory that bloke who hassles you is so rich by know his been there for years at least twelve years
this sort of thing does need preserving as it is a wonder of the world and was suffering from decay as other threads have said ask these sort of questions before booking or do a private booking once you have checked everything out it can be a really enjoyable trip if you take advise from others

try ordering a trip with no "extras".might cost you a bit more but better value for money........cheap trips mean visit to commission locations

You can ask as many questions as you like they will only tell you want you want to hear!. We went to Ephesus from Gumbet and we asked whether the trip included the House of Mary. Yes, without a doubt was the answer. Three times we asked during the booking. We stopped at a jewellery factory which was really enjoyable, the displays were fabulous no hard sell. Then we went to Ephesus so far ok. On the way back we asked when we were going to the House and we were told that we were not. The coach was up in arms but they were adamant we were not going we were two ks from it. Some people were really upset as they were from Canada and USA and knew the chances of them coming back were slim. The guide muttered about time and then we drove on for about five ks and then they stopped at a carpet factory so we all refused to get off the bus. We went back to the tour office the following day and complained. The answer was this is a Muslim country. We have met many people who have had the same experience. The only ones that go seem to be the rep trips. I did not feel ripped off because the Ephesus part was wonderful but I would now take all I was told about trips with a pinch of salt

Sorry about the miss print above  it was 18 lira and not £18. I still think it was a rip off. (my view i know ) I do understand that Pamukkle is a wonder of the world and does need preserving but i do think we should have been told that parts were closed and most were now green with mold, and not white !!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to moan. Take care. Anna xxxxxxxx
