There were a good variety of songs played in Olu Deniz but the only one that sticks in my mind isn't very foreign. It 's Hotel California, which I love and it was played a couple of times in the evenings whilst we were sat having a drink on the bean bags on the beach- very relaxing :)

I am sailing......mainly because we encoutered a lot of flooded roads on my holiday and our car floated a bit! Scary stuff. That's the only song I know about floating :rofl

When I was in Senegal there was a song that was played constantly. Sometimes heard it several times a day. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the song or the girl who sang it though.

Also visited family in Germany, just before the Eurovision was on, so heard Satellite (that went on to win) countless times.

Gotta be Edward Maya, Stereo Love for me as well. I was in Salou in June and it was playing everywhere. It was quite nice to have a holiday song for a change because I don't remember one for the last few years.

I predicted many months ago (in another place) that Waka Waka was going to be THE song for this year in Spain, especially the kiddies discos, and more so when Spain won the world cup.
Shakira also did an English version of Waka Waka, but IMO the Spanish version is best.

She did two versions of the song Gypsy (Gitana) (English and Spanish.) the Spanish one was being played everywhere I went in June, and the video for the song on the tube, wow it's very steamy with Rafael Nadal.
Just search Gitana or Gypsy-Shakira and you'll see what I mean.
I love the song and used the English version behind one of my videos in HT/TV....so for me, apart from Waka Waka, Gitana is the song for 2010 in Spain.

Plenty of tuneless drivel on various karaoke bars..they seem to be big on that in Bugibba!..

except for in the Apple Bar, there was a guy called Edward Moore who does a really good impression of Elvis...and he started his repotoire every time with "Fool". When I heard that for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised at how good he was..but by the time I heard it for the 10th time, even I knew the blitty words!!

Oh, and real music..lots of Lady Gaga-Bad Romance..

On the Liveaboard, there was nothing. No radio..no Tv..just my Ipod...which I have a variety of tunes on.

There was one played in the bar under our apartment in Cala Bona and a lad on a bike had it continually playing as he cycled up and down the promenade at various points of the day/night.

It was more of an instrumental with a really catchy beat but I have absolutely NO idea what it was called and don't suppose I'll ever find out!

EDITED to say I'VE FOUND IT - it's Yolanda Be Cool & D Cup "We no speak Americano" :)

and that song is a massive monster hit in the charts right now..getting loads of airplay..even I like it!!
