Hi all
Just wondered if you had a song that reminds you of your holiday this year? Mine is Edward Maya Stero Love - The greek sounding song with the video filmed in mykinos.
There were a good variety of songs played in Olu Deniz but the only one that sticks in my mind isn't very foreign. It 's Hotel California, which I love and it was played a couple of times in the evenings whilst we were sat having a drink on the bean bags on the beach- very relaxing
I am sailing......mainly because we encoutered a lot of flooded roads on my holiday and our car floated a bit! Scary stuff. That's the only song I know about floating
Also visited family in Germany, just before the Eurovision was on, so heard Satellite (that went on to win) countless times.
Gotta be Edward Maya, Stereo Love for me as well. I was in Salou in June and it was playing everywhere. It was quite nice to have a holiday song for a change because I don't remember one for the last few years.
Tom Jones - Sexbomb
Smokie - Living Next Door to Alice
Tarkan - Kiss Kiss
Cha Cha Slide
Macarana
And several others that I can't recall the names of.
Having just returned from Kefalonia it has to be Zorba the Greek
hi......every morning after the " good morning ..good morning to you " song every morning.....and at the end of the shows in the evening the animation team did a dance to a song.....something about "this is africa ".....but havent a clue what its really called.....would like to buty it as its quite catchy and lifts your mood....tweetie
Sounds lie Shakira's Waka Waka Tweetie
Tweetie - if you put Waka Waka in the search box in Youtube you can hear if that's the one - sorry for some reason it won't let me post a link.
hi helen ...yes the waka waka bit is in the song ...so think might be....I like the shakira songs ....a lot of my songs that remind me of my spanish hols are by shakira....will check it out...thanks ...tweetie
yep thats the one helen
Shakira also did an English version of Waka Waka, but IMO the Spanish version is best.
She did two versions of the song Gypsy (Gitana) (English and Spanish.) the Spanish one was being played everywhere I went in June, and the video for the song on the tube, wow it's very steamy with Rafael Nadal.
Just search Gitana or Gypsy-Shakira and you'll see what I mean.
I love the song and used the English version behind one of my videos in HT/TV....so for me, apart from Waka Waka, Gitana is the song for 2010 in Spain.
Sanji

Veo Veo - Los Guajiros Del Puerto
Flo Rida - Club cant handle it feat david guetta
you can tell I had a good time..:O)
Got it! That song in Senegal was Champion by Viviane. It's quite catchy...
except for in the Apple Bar, there was a guy called Edward Moore who does a really good impression of Elvis...and he started his repotoire every time with "Fool". When I heard that for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised at how good he was..but by the time I heard it for the 10th time, even I knew the blitty words!!
Oh, and real music..lots of Lady Gaga-Bad Romance..
On the Liveaboard, there was nothing. No radio..no Tv..just my Ipod...which I have a variety of tunes on.
It was more of an instrumental with a really catchy beat but I have absolutely NO idea what it was called and don't suppose I'll ever find out!
EDITED to say I'VE FOUND IT - it's Yolanda Be Cool & D Cup "We no speak Americano"
and that song is a massive monster hit in the charts right now..getting loads of airplay..even I like it!!
