Knowing what I know in particular now, after having gone for around five years,I can definitely say very, very little. Tenerife improves in many ways, in some areas in particular, each time I return. For nightlife, there are so many up market Restaurants and Bars now with great friendly staff in comparison to a few years ago, where IMO these were severely lacking.
Can't say there are any people I miss whatsoever, because I met my closest, most special friend elsewhere and I'm fortunate enough to live somewhere with great nightlife and entertainment, for the other approx.47 weeks a year, when not away on holiday. Great to have a change though and still some great nights out in Tenerife with new faces to see.
One little thing that would be nice, is to see the Balloon return. :wave
P.S. Just thought...some of the lovely Tenerife weather I experienced these last five years or so, would be nice to have back right now, considering the diabolical weather we've been having lately. It's definitely got me beat now....It's so depressing.

You'll all be pleased to know that,
Nigel's totally right ....!!!  Just realised, and corrected, major typing error... on reading that back, can't believe I did that. How embarrassing! Will never get my dignity back,so yes, will depart tout de suite.
Anyway, All the best with everything and bye.

Sandy's Bar. Oh I know it's still there, but Sandy and Madge are'nt. Did'nt matter when you went there was always someone you had met before. It's had a few owners since Sandy retired, but it's not the same place.
Chris, don't think about the lost years, think of all the parties you've had :D

You've got a closet friend :yikes I hope they come out very soon :rofl
I miss the ability to stay out late every night. Over the last couple of years we seem quite happy to stay in & watch the tv with a couple of drinks.
Still manage the odd late one though.

Playboys Bar (now The Bluebell) had loads of great nights in there when it was run by Mike who now runs The Bistro in LC.

We miss the Old Lodge as well, used to have some good evenings there when Phil whatshisname did his act every night. Also the little Beachcomber bar next door to it when a family from Burnley were running it, they were really friendly - it was rubbish under new owners when we were there in February.
But most of all the Shakespeare (No dont laugh) at Los Diamantes when Andy was the compere - the place was tat, beer rubbish and they served the worst wine I have ever tasted but Andy did a 15 question quiz every night at 10pm and we always had a go before setting off for somewhere proper.
New owner only seems to want to do his own karaoke every night and he has lost a lot of the decent regulars. A whole gang from Royal Palm used to go in every night but dont use it at all now.
Missing the balloon was a good one, wouldnt have thought of that but its true.
