Whats the best currency to tip in and how much?

Hi we are leaving for our first egyption holiday in 7 weeks, while im very excited im also a little nervous, We are staying at the Grand Resort Hotel in hurgarda and are taking our two children 9 and 6 with us, I could really do with some help on what currency to tip in and who and how much I really dont have a clue

I was thinking of eggyption dollars but is it easy to get small notes, how about american dollars again can you get small notes in these, someone told me not to take english pounds as they are hard for the locals to change is this true

and help would be much appreciated Thank You

Hi Family

i have been to Egypt sevsral times now and always tip in Egyptian pounds,approximately 10 to our £1 so its very easy.
I give the beach men the equivalent of £2 every day as they really do look after us, and the waiters between £1 and £2 depending on how nice they are.
I try to get the same waiter then he can be tipped at the evening meal and you can keep a check on whats what more easily i think.
On the other just tip if you feel its appropriate after all thats what we would do at home.
Hope you really enjoy yourselves... i love the country and its people

I completely forgot to mention the hard working men who clean the rooms,i also leave £1 every morning for them.
If you like your towels changed every day put them in the bath with the note on top
