It is beautiful. Quiet enough for comfort and close enough to walk to the unquiet parts of town. Depends where about you are staying. I stayed in Costa Adeje Gran and it took 10 minutes at most to walk to Fanabe beach and 5 minutes in a taxi to the main part of town
Sounds nice, we are staying at Fanabe Costa Sur. Is there a centre, if so how far are we from it.
1 mile or so. Your hotel is in the same street as Adeje Gran but closer to the town centre. The whole area of PDLA,Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos is huge. 3 miles or so around the coastline from one end to the other. The major centre of town is probably round the infamous Veronicas area but thats not the best part. Either side of this ghetto are great. Where you are is 5 minutes to the large Fanabe beach which is full of bars shops restaurants watersports etc. The twice weekly (thursday & Saturday) market is directly behind your hotel Walking through the main street will also surprise you with the huge array of shops bars cafes and every other form of activity you would expect. You would need 2 months to cover every part of the area thoroughly but in my opinion you are in easily the best part of town so if you miss some of the more distant places then you will still have had a good time.
Thanks again, went to Veronica in my younger days, now married so I won't be going there.
I stayed in this hotel a few years ago and it was very nice. There is a shopping centre across the street and a big posh one about five minutes walk. It is alovely area
Sounds even better, got a good deal, £490 for over May bank holiday weekend BB for 2 people.

at the west past any number of different styles of bar culminating with the moonlight bar at the other end ( http://www.themoonlightbar-tenerife.com/ )
Can't recommend bars without mentioning my personal favourite and judging by its consistently full to capacity crowd many other peoples too which is St Eugen's ( http://www.mikecarltontenerife.com ) This bar is about 10 minutes walk down the main street at the top of a steep hill but well worth visiting. You can find a very good description of more slightly further afield bars at the section of this forum at http://holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=71592&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
You will get dizzy if you try to read about them all because I would estimate the number of bars in the PDLA area as about 700. We only usually visit the same 3 or 4 these days which are St Eugens,Moonlight,OReillys,Fitzpatricks ( http://www.murphystenerife.com/murphys-fitzpatricks-irish-bar-tenerife/fitzpatricks.html )
You are bound to find out for yourself by trial and error but keep reading this site and you will be well clued up by the time you go
In the immediate vicinity it is a bit quiet and localized but within 10 minutes walk are the aforementioned Fanabe beach bars. These are numerous ranging from the newly opened Miss Kitty's show bar ( at the west past any number of different styles of bar culminating with the moonlight bar at the other end ( http://www.themoonlightbar-tenerife.com/ )
