Kavo Greco just up the road from Protaras is a fantistic place of beauty, swimming etc..

Protaras has many themed bars which have large screen tv's showing (as per the theme) Only Fools and Horse, Friends and probably others...

You can go on trips to the Troodos mountains (Jeep Safari) well recomended

Apparently you can hire boats and other water based fun (not my bag to be honest.. but the jet boat thing in Pafos harbour at the other end of the island was a great laugh)...

There are numerous boat trips with glass bottoms or BBQ's on the beach, see Famagusta etc...

Did I mention pubs?

There are one or two small park type places and some internet cafe / arcade places...

Pools in the hotels...

There is a Water Park behind the Hotel Paschalia on the top edge of Pernera (a tad expensive I've been told, again not my bag)

Depending on how old they are, you can hire buggy's and bikes etc (providing you have your license etc)...

Sounds good.

Dont suppose you know roughly how much some of these trips cost do you? Is it better to book it myself and if so who would you recommend I book through?

Thanks again.

The horse riding cost us around 25 a head last sept, but when we got there he said you should have rang, he charged a good chunk less !

The Jeep Safari we booked (twice) from Trackers in Pernera, just a bit up the road towards Paralimni and then off to the right somewhere...again last sept it was (now keep reading after you see the price) Cy£33 per adult... but its worth every penny... I went the first time and went on our second visit to Cyprus (paying for 3 people on the second visit).. Its not just a drive up the Troodos Mountains and back, you get a guided tour, local information, stop offs for swimming, for sight seeing, for refreshments, a full Meze lunch in a fantastic location, both times came back grinning from ear to ear (or was it from here to here...lol ) - They also arrange many many other trips (other Jeep based stuff, bus trips with meze, bouzuki music, dancing, old places, new places, museums, Nicosia, rocks of aphrodite etc etc etc... you name it, they probably have a trip and extras..)(I have their number on the sheet if I can post it ?)

ps the horse riding place is the something Ranch. and has stickers in many windows and such around Pernera and Protaras...we just didn't realised what they were until he had pointed them out....(he also speaks perfect English and is really helpful...)

average sort of up the coast line boat trips (one I'm looking at is just a cruise up the coast stopping off at varying points to swim and see etc) Cy£6 (last sept).. but they are probably similar this year.. quite a few to choose from... (different in things like glass bottom to see wrecks or fish, on board food or BBQ on beach etc etc)

Last time i was there we did a "daktari" jeep safari.

Very good, went to a camel farm, for a ride. Then into the troodos. Then to a Waterfall, to a winerey for "jiggy jiggy juice" a meze lunch and swim.
A tradidtional house thing with lace demos and cooking demos etc.
A couple of church/monostrys plus loads more.

All in a Defender 110. Plus they sold us a video of it all aswel :D
