When was the first year you visited Goa?

I had to laugh to myself when i read your post misterc, we always say the same ... we are going to go off exploring India, but somehow we just never end up leaving Goa!!!

although i have to say we did manage to get to kashmir last season, we have travelled India fortunately or I suspect we never would if we intended using Goa as a base!!!

and I fully agree with you the spirit of the place is still there and special...how very true that is, hope your girlfriend loves it, sure she will!!

Hi everone.
1st time Nov 96, 2nd time Nov 97 both with Inspirations at the Coqeuril then next door to it at Surfside (if I remember rightly) Candolim. Loved it.
Returned in Nov 2003, stayed with Lazydays at the Bellair in Candolim. Gosh what a change. It was like Blackpool but better weather.
Went back on Nov 2004, stayed with Lazydays at Baywatch in Reis Margos - not far from Coco beach.
The last two were quite expensive as they were rentals but well worth it.

Next time going on Nov 25th, staying at Aldeia Santa Rita in Sinqeurim, all inclusive - God what have I done :shock:

. Now I find that the beach has dissapeard :shock:

palmarinha resort calangute

my friends and I are going back to Goa in Nov 06

this time to the Palmarinha resort in Calangute, I cant find any reports on this place, has anyone been there and can let me know what it's like? :?:

I first went in Jan 1999. We stayed in Chapora with a family. We hired a scooter and bombed around the areas of Chapora/Vagator/Spaghetti Beach/Anjuna/Arambol. Went to a couple of parties in the bamboo forest and visited the Primrose cafe! Going back in feb 07 with child for 3 wks!

I love mentioning the pig toilet in our garden especially to those who had bacon for breakfast... It was quite a posh one really with two loos and a good angled slope down. unfortunately we don't have any pigs...
