At the end of last October we went to Lanzarote and it was great, the weather was just right, I loved the hotel and I'm tempted to go back to the same place again, it was our first oversea's holiday and it was fab!!
However, I am determined that we must try somewhere else and wondered where else is good in November, the first week in November seems really cheap and we want to spend around £1200 for a family of five self catering or £1800 all inclusive.
As long as its t-shirt and shorts weather thats hot enough for us, hopefully without any rain!
Oh and a flight that is less than 5 hours, because I've discovered I'm a terrible flyer
We went to Belek Antalya Turkey in Nov last year. Cost us £237 each for 1 week AI. It was excellent, the weather was wonderful in the day, but cold at night. All the entertainment was in the hotel at night though, so it didn't matter how cold it was. The food and drinks (branded) were lovely. Beach, pools etc were fab. Lets face it, if you stayed at home and just went out every day and night for a week,to eat and drink as much as you wanted it would easily cost you £237 each......
What about one of the other Canary Islands? Or Egypt? Egypt is pushing it flight wise though, it is 5 hours from UK airports, sometimes a little longer if the wind direction is wrong.
Sharm El Sheikh (Naama Bay) is especially nice.As far as I know there is no such thing as "self catering" properties but there are plenty Hotels providing all board types and Naama Bay has an abundance of restaurants.
The last time I was there was just going into Dec and the temperature was in the mid 30's!

Goa is fantastic as well. Nice and hot and very cheap when you get there.
Morocco or Tunisia? The Cape Verde Islands? The Gambia or Senegal? I would have suggested South Africa but the flight time would have caused you problems, but might be worth a thought because the added bonus is no jet lag.
Cyprus is also another option. We went at the end of October a few years back and the weather was amazing.
A good part to any holiday is the 'looking forward' and this person knows what she is doing. She has been to Lanzarote so the other Canary Islands must be a runner especially during November when the weather is almost guaranteed to be hot (seems to be her only criterium, which is fair enough!).
November (save for the school holidays period) is CHEAPIE time when Travel Companies offload everything at reduced prices. Perhaps it would be prudent to decide on a short-list now and book later?
The budget is generous for the time of year also. Perhaps the way to go is DIY and book say Ryanair/Easyjet flights and book a privately owned apartment/villa? The savings would be handsome and perhaps you will get another holiday as a result?
Suggestions:- Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Crete, Malta, Cyprus, Turkey, Southern Spain, Italy, I tend to shy away from the north African countries, but I stand open to correction.
