I would suggest the Sol Santa Eulalia or the Sol Sarragamasa although this last one is in between the 2 resorts of Santa Eulalia and Es Cana and about a 20 minute walk to either.Santa E is the nicest resort in the Balearics IMO

We went to Cyprus last year and found the 3 star accommadation we picked to be very poor in comparison to some we have had in Ibiza.

i would second the above suggestions, especially the sol s'argamassa,as we stayed for a few nights in june this year and have booked the same for next year,we have a short break without the kids,4 adults, and i think the hotel would fit the requirements e.g. lots of sunbeds all with nice padded mattress, free safe and fridge in rooms, absolutley spotless, food very good but its nice to eat out a few times for a change.2 pools one quiet, literally milimeters from the sea (slight eggsageration)fabulous views.the couple we go with have done 4 star majorca, cypruss etc and they rate the hotel highly.the beach outside is small, but 5 mins away is the cala martina beach, and cala pada in the opposit direction.we mostly went to cala martina beach in the front of the cala martina restauraunt/beach bar, excellent lunch, and youve never had sangria more delicious,i asked for 2 glasses and asked what he was putting in it,i cant remember everything but bacardi, cointreau, red wine, brandy were mentioned it was fantastic,i wont decribe how i felt the next morning after several cocalocas in escana   it was memorable.anyway good luck choosing.ps.if you book direct at http://www.solmelia.com you dont have to pay till checkin and you can cancell up to the day before.mo :?

I think definitely Santa Eulalia, I don't know what your budget is but there is a real five star hotel here now called the Fenicia. It has a massive and underused pool, lots of restaurants and bars, a health spa etc.. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for and presumably if you want a "real" four or five star hotel then you have the budget for it.

Hi, I would reccomend the Fiesta Bahamas Beach Club at Playa Den Bossa. I went with my wife and 11 year old son in May this year and had a superb holiday. (So much so that we have booked to go back again next May). The standard of hygeine was exceptional and the staff just seemed to be everywhere! As an aside, Playa is only a few minutes from airport and if you don't mind looking at the planes (we loved it as we live rurally back in the uk) the resort is brilliant. A lovely beach that you can walk along or try a ferry over to Formosa for the day from Ibiza town. Do this independently as it is easy and much cheaper !! We took one trip around the island for the day by bus which was very informative and gave you a dood "Feel" for the island and it's history. We loved it - hope you do too.

Can recommend the Don Toni as a very clean and decent 3* hotel, and Playa De'n Bossa is a nice resort with easy access to Ibiza Town.
